Are you taking time to declare God’s goodness over your life? Are you speaking victory over your future? It’s not enough to do it every once in a while. It needs to become a habit where, all through the day, we’re declaring that we’re blessed, we’re strong, we’re healthy.
Too often we’re counting on other people to keep us cheered up, encouraged, and feeling good about ourselves. That’s putting too much pressure on the people in your life. Let them off the hook. Don’t go to other people for what only God can give.
Maybe someone has tried to name you average, not talented, unattractive, too many mistakes. God is saying to you, “I’m changing your name. I’m renaming you son of strength, daughter of destiny, child of influence, child of greatness.”
Don’t accept defeat, don’t let mediocrity, addictions, dysfunction become normal. Start declaring what God says about you; start expecting His favor. Start thanking Him when there’s no sign of it, praising when nothing is turning around. That’s what faith is all about.
Living to impress people will keep you from your destiny. That is time and energy that you need for your dreams, for your goals. Promotion is not going to come from that person you impress. Instead of impressing people, we should spend our time impressing God.
COVID-19 has taken all of us, globally, down various paths and continues to impact us all differently. If we stick together, look out for one another, we will get through this crisis on the other side, together and stronger than ever.
