@MasterMaliq Okay, let's play your literal game.
Matthew 6:5–15
Jesus teaches us to pray: "Our Father..."
John 10:27–33
"I and the Father are one."
John 10:33
"...you, being a man, make yourself God."
The Jews picked up stones since they knew exactly what Jesus was claiming.
@realMaalouf The problem with Islam is that it elevates the status of prophets so highly that many Muslims struggle to accept the biblical truth that prophets were human beings who, despite being chosen by God, were still capable of sin.
@RealShahriqKhan May God bless you. There's no one better suited to have a heartfelt conversation with Muslims than ex-Muslims. Although many speak harshly, I believe some of them are desperately seeking and longing for personal relationship experience with the One True God; our Father.
@MasterMaliq The only true assurance is to live in Christ.
That is why Jesus is called Al-Masih (the Messiah).
Take the time to explore the deeper meaning of that TITLE.
@FarazPervaiz3 The problem with Islam is that it elevates the status of prophets so highly that many Muslims struggle to accept the biblical truth that prophets were human beings who, despite being chosen by God, were still capable of sin.
That Mohmo guy really had deceived many.
@MasterMaliq Catholics and Orthodox preserve the sacredness of the liturgy.
But an expressive modern worship can also be understood. Scripture records when King David brought the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem, he and all Israel celebrated before the Lord with singing, music, and dancing.
@MasterMaliq Did Jesus submit to God? Yes, if you mean God the Father.
Do Muslims call God a Father? No, it would conflict with core Islamic beliefs.
Jesus also said, "I and the Father are one."
From Islamic view, Jesus would be considered blasphemous.
So, are we talking the same God?
@MasterMaliq It will make sense once you realize that our God is pure love.
He is NOT a distant being who merely sits on His throne, waiting to judge His children by calculation of their good and bad deeds.
@rabbriansamuel According to a testimony of a former Muslim, Jesus revealed Himself as "Isa Masih" in Farsi. So yeah, I think our Lord wouldn't concern about the language. What matters is that we know who we are praying to and that we worship Him alone.
