@Michael198850 This was my first purchased game in the series, having taken this gold cart to my dorm in art school to complete over the year. During this generation my aunt and uncle donated their NES games to me which included the original Zelda, but the save state feature no longer worked.
@Big_Red_BT @SirRolandEld This and the post-FASA TRs/ content (3067-3085) all showcased a steep decline in art quality from the FASA TRs (Project Phoenix being the worst). I feel for artists like Matt Plog who have a lot of talent but looked like they were given 2 weeks and a $100 budget to finish the 67.
@Big_Red_BT@davidrazi 3058 is my second favorite TR after the 3055. It not only gave more lore designs an official illustration (Mackie, Longbow), we also got great re-illustrations of combat vehicles, many under the “refit” moniker from TR 3050. The 55 also showcases a refined Loose style I love.
@Big_Red_BT 3055 is among my favorite TRs so thanks for covering it. The 55 heavily influenced my art style (think Jackel, Wraith, Gunslinger, etc). The IIC art was amazing as well despite deviating from the typical in-universe look.
@MagestrixRiley I struggle playing characters that deviate from my own strengths and weaknesses. Obviously IRL im just a townsfolk or nobody but the Paladin speaks to me, I’m not dexterous or as Charismatic to fill the other roles listed but I can weather punishment and I love being support.
@GamewithDave All four are special and broke some level of ground but the DualShock 2 is part of a lineage of of Sony controllers that have just stood the test of time and have been the benchmark for nearly all controllers since.
@RetroBlastUS Love this as a concept but much like many cross platforms, getting an optimized game would require rebuilding the game for Saturn. It could be done but converting some of the “high poly” battle assets like the Summons would require reworking to convert into quads.
@8BitBoyUK Have the NTSC NA copy and beat it as a kid. Like a lot of Genesis/MD games it contained a small number of “levels” broken into one or more unique segments. This game had some great tracks including a great rendition of the Terminator main theme!
@GeekWithThat I have a distinct memory as a Genesis owner biding my time on the 32-bit generation and walking into a Toys-R-Us and seeing Kiosks for the Genesis 3 and SNES Model 2 (playing Yoshi’s Island).
@TheIndieManiac Try playing Perfect Dark in High Res mode using the expansion pack with frame rates measured at a geological scale and get back to me. Try having some real problems.
