@IGN Yes, one of the main reasons for me to have a PS since PS3 was to watch my DVD and bluray collection.
I'll stick with my PS5, but now there's no reason for me to buy a PS6, even if it comes with an optional disc drive.
@Nin10Nostalgia Not really, it's a necessary evil due to capacity and speed constrains, and a better alternative compared to code-in-a-box, but fully physical will always be the best option.
@DomTheBomb Now if we consider the possibility of PS6 being extremely expensive, then perhaps I will complement my Nintendo gaming with PC.
If I have to buy digital games, it'd be better on PC's terms and not Sony's.
@DomTheBomb On the other side, the main reason for me to have PS consoles was to complement my Nintendo consoles where I could play 3rd party games that were not coming to Nintendo or looking awful.
Now with Switch 2, 3rd party games look much better (not perfect, but good enough for me).
@baldlyrudy That'll be my setup too.
Since I bought my Switch 2 I have just turned on my PS5 only to play Expedition 33 back in November 2025.
I'll keep my PS5 but will not be jumping to PS6, instead I'll be getting a gaming PC.
@digitalfoundry I had been considering not buying a PS6 and instead jump into PC gaming along with my Switch 2.
Now it seems Sony has helped me to make that decision.
@takeme2hobbiton Currently there is not much of my interest coming exclusively to PS5, and most of the 3rd party games I want to play are also coming to Switch 2, so I have been considering for some time to skip the PS6 and instead jump to PC gaming.
It seems that my decision is now clear.
@takeme2hobbiton I continue with this trend of having both a Nintendo and a Sony console side-by-side with the PS4 and PS5 along with the Switch and Switch 2.
However, recently I've noticed I'm enjoying playing more on SW2 than PS5 (haven't turned on my PS5 since November 2025).
@TheRPGDummy Music: Last Monday I bought 'Thirdteen Step' from A Perfect Circle on vinyl.
Movies: I haven't in the last few months, it's on pause atm but will come back to it once my budget allows it.
Book: Two weeks ago, I bought 'Project Hail Mary' and my son is currently reading it.

@imAndrewRussell All 3 are great options!
I personally would go with DK Bananza since games like Pokopia are not really my thing and DKB looks and plays incredible.
MKW is fantastic and the Knockout routes are a blast, but then again, it is just another MK.
@ElderScrolls I've never played any Elder Scrolls game before... but just because Bethesda is doing an effort of putting the whole game in the cart, I might give this one a try.
Also, Bethesda did a magnificent job with Indiana Jones on Switch 2, so this one could be a really good port too!
