Newark Academy is working to respond in myriad ways to calls for racial justice in our community. These same issues are being articulated on social media by our students and alumni. Head of School Don Austin and members of the senior administration will be meeting next week with

a group of alumni who are involved in developing the petition and recommended actions steps. In addition, planning continues for Newark Academy's Equity and Inclusion Summit that will take place in early July. The Summit will include a full-day of sessions and dialogue

Sunday evening at 7:00 pm we will present an impressive repertoire of music performed by our Orchestra and Chamber Group. You’ll be amazed that these are high school musicians playing with such nuance and heart, under the baton of their teacher and mentor Amy Emelianoff.

June Term students took a field trip today to Peters Valley School of Craft. The Ceramics, Blacksmith, Fine Metals, Woodworking and Weaving folks all shared their knowledge and passion with our kids. We even got to try weaving on a loom. #petersvalley #newarkacademy #crafts #art
