One perk my human child has over my dog, he gives me an excuse to buy things like this. (It's for him. Obviously. I have zero interest in a lego arcade machine on my desk. Zero.)
I just released "iOS App Icon Appearance" for Unity. Set Xcode 16's Light, Dark, & Tinted app icons directly within Unity.

My BuildKit, which I almost fired due to overlap with Unity's BuildProfiles, is back with a new approach. BuildProfiles are good, but not yet the be all end all. It adds a bit of sugar on top. Just added optional signing Android builds. Will make my CI happy. #gamedev#indiegame
Been rewriting my input and rebinding system over the last day. For some reason, touching the input code always downgrades my desk into a complete mess.

I shipped Zenspire today. A macOS app for organizing inspiration & reference images. I made it because my own inspiration library for game dev was getting out of hand.

Apple needs to open iOS up so users are free to install software from sources of their choosing, and developers are free to distribute directly to users. With no Apple Taxes, junk fees, scare screens, or other hot Cupertinian garbage.
Bring back the Apple of Woz!
Gamedev mode back on! It’s been a longer radio silence than anticipated after last year’s flood, a new house, a new home, and a new family member. But now I finally have time to work on this regularly again. Here’s a peek at the first native Linux build running on the Steam Deck.
We're finally moving to a new house in a flood-safe area at the end of this week, so no more surprise swimming pools in the studio! Next week, I'll be back at my projects. Yay! 😁 ✌️
My studio, when it first got hit by severe flooding a month ago. A few days after that photo, we got hit with a second round - even higher this time! I've been busy handling all the aftermath since, so my projects have been on a bit of a forced vacation.
macOS Sequoia. Using the color picker to pick a color from my own document.
? Allow For One Month ?
WTF, am I going to be nagged about this, once per month, per app, from now on? I've managed just fine without this baby sitting.
Must be some way to disable it completely?
I have an Export collection that exports directly to my game project, with a Geometry Node object that joins all meshes. Then, I can just click Export to refresh the asset in the game engine at any time.
This is my current workflow for iterating on a game asset in Blender. I split assets into multiple meshes while working, but export them as one mesh for the game engine using Geometry Nodes to automate the process.
