@Johnny2Cellos Twitter is so weirdly consistent about forming intense hatedoms over female creators specifically. They can’t figure out why they hate the creator (misogyny probably) and they scramble to find “valid” reasons to wreck their careers.
@Johnny2Cellos i’ve feel like 7+ years ago twitter saw Viv and collectively said “we all hate her and we want to cancel her” w/ no reason (as they do for, like, EVERY marginalized creator) and then proceeded to SCRAPE FOR ANYTHING that even remotely made her look bad (and straight up lying)
@michaellah157 @FangirlLegoshi @souhiyaoi a lot of transmen become misogynistic to ESCAPE the fact that people see them as girls. At very least this mindset isn’t helpful. “Factory settings” is so weird. I get the joke but it weirdly has an implication of “you were designed to be female and will always be on some level”
@michaellah157 @FangirlLegoshi @souhiyaoi it’s kinda messed up to tell a trans man he “was a girl”. Not all trans people view their identity that way and that feels icky to say. Misogyny, gender, and transness are very complex and to simplify all trans men’s experiences as “he was a girl” is missing the point.
@FangirlLegoshi @souhiyaoi i feel like regularly bringing up how trans ppl were assigned is weird. “AMAB” and “AFAB” were great terms until they became the woke way to say “boy” and “girl”. It feels like the tweet was implying “how could you be misogynistic? you’re a girl”
