@NicholasTyrone So the context was the Soho Society announcing a blanket opposition to all new and extended licenses. Which was pretty extraordinarily and has got lots of pick up. The Mayor is also getting major new powers to ‘call in’ applications later this year, so suspect is ramping up comms
@RichardOsley I think it is a bit mean-spirited Richard. All the candidates - win or lose - will feel exhausted after months of campaigning. Those who lost will be devastated. Not sure you needed to list the names and faces of those who didn’t keep their seats in that manner.
@londonette This is a lie. That was yesterday. The Mayor has just done interviews on the GG incident, and is in London. Saw it on TV. Times like these don’t need people lying.
@Councillorsuzie@BorisJohnson What?? The Garden Bridge, the water cannons, agreeing £1bn cuts to the Met police and ending TfL’s Government grant. And never mind building homes just to be flogged off to overseas investors…
The Jewish community is our community - in London, people of all faiths and none should be able to live peacefully alongside each other.
I was humbled to visit Hatzola ambulance service today.
We stand together against antisemitic hatred - we’ll always reject those who seek to divide us.
@NJ_Timothy This is the square at Easter. Would you ban this too? Seems to resemble an ‘act of domination’ that you’re scared of. Or you just don’t like Muslims.
@PaulEFishr Genuine question. Why when everyone on X seems to have a view on the Middle East (for good or bad), should the Mayor not have a view? Particularly when it affects cost of living.
@rcolvile@jburnmurdoch@BorisJohnson I think some of your criticism of the current Mayor is unfair. Michael Gove’s introduction of the building safety regulator was always going to cause huge issues at a time of surging building costs. Yes, cut some environment/density requirements, but the BSR is a big one.
Hey @aliceTTimes I think your comment about Sadiq Khan in the paper this morning is a bit unfair, given you basically quote this graphic he pushes out on his social media a lot.
