@georgyjamieson This anecdote makes me feel very happy. I now have proof that I'm not the saddest person in the world. I was having a discussion with friends last weekend trying to identify the location of the BBC's Paris Studio in London where The Goons used to record.
@georgyjamieson My brother lives just round the corner from this. It's a fabulous relic and was only destroyed at the end of the civil war by those nasty Parliamentarians
Support for the arts & for emerging talent from all backgrounds is so important & is essential for economic growth as well as our mental & physical well-being. Everyone's a winner!
So sad to hear of John Mayall’s passing. He was a great pioneer of British blues and had a wonderful eye for talented young musicians, including Mick Taylor - who he recommended to me after Brian Jones died - ushering in a new era for the Stones.
Sad to discover that John Mayall has died aged 90. A great blues advocate & creator of The Bluesbreakers. Alumni include Eric Clapton, Peter Green, Jack Bruce, John McVie, Mick Fleetwood & Mick Taylor. Not bad for a art student who started work in a Manchester department store
@georgyjamieson @coopjuniors @NewWolsey Amazing show. Disappointed that the lighting & sound problems I experienced at dress rehearsal weren't fixed by opening night. CoJos are usually so slick. Maybe they were using a new team?
@bryony1963 @jackabbott90@IpswichLabour@UKLabour And so you should be. I'm just so chuffed that Felixstowe was the location for the final undoing of Therese Coffey - replaced by someone and as energetic, empathetic & engaged as Jenny Riddell-Carpenter. Finally, I voted for a successful candidate in Suffolk Coastal!
