@CarolMaps I think he’s missing his partner. When mum died 12 years ago he replaced her very quickly, he’s not good on his own, I wonder if he’s trying to do the same again. He keeps proposing to one lady!

@CarolMaps Dad is becoming more difficult. He is trying to be affectionate with female residents, gets agitated and shouts when they try to stop him and now he is being difficult with male staff, refusing to cooperate with them.

@CarolMaps He has Parkinson’s and dementia, high risk of falls plus osteoporosis. They are taking very good physical care of him but I think he needs more support with keeping occupied in the afternoons. But he loves it, he’s at the seaside with amazing views from his room

@CarolMaps He went into respite care end of March, his partner died while he was there and then he fell and broke his arm. Social worker then moved him to a different home. Luckily he has settled there and this is a blessing

@CarolMaps He is no longer capable of using his mobile so I’ve got it. Just gets occasional spam calls on it anyway. He just gets confused because he’s still getting used to being in a care home and not sorting things out for himself. He’s lost so much, his partner died in April

@RogersHistory I know a HOD who was told by a new head with no sixth form experience that she had failed her A* students. She didn’t have any students with A* targets, none of them had targets above a grade B.
