I don’t know if this is rage bait but it’s not funny. I’m sure it’ll end with him donating more but suggesting you’re going to give less to a charity because of people’s actions and broadcasting that in real time is insane.

#Emmys host Nate Bargatze plans to donate $100,000 to the Boys & Girls Club — except, every second a winner's speech goes over 45 seconds he’ll subtract $1,000 from that total. Every second the speeches go short, he’ll add to the pot.

“It could cost me a ton of money. It could cost me no money. I just thought of it because everybody brings up, is there a way to kind of keep these speeches down? Nothing really works. First we thought just taking the money away, but that’s not fun, and we don’t want to take away from the Boys & Girls Club. But then to encourage them to give their time, you can put money back into it. Plus, all night we will be talking about the Boys & Girls Club, and they’re just a wonderful organization.”

Definitely just saw the near-end of a police chase on I-196 near Grand Rapids. Ton of cops behind a car pulled over, dog sent in to grab the guy but didn’t see anyone in driver seat. Crazy. Anyone know what’s going on?

I think people are surprised to learn how many federal agencies have law enforcement arms/special agents that investigate fraud, waste and abuse--something this admin says they're focused on despite eliminating a ton of IGs this week.

RFK mentions in this video that he doesn't know if HHS has a law enforcement branch--Masto notes that that would be CMS as well as HHS OIG.

HHS OIG isn't just a watchdog--their sworn federal law enforcement agents investigate false claims, Medicare fraud and other crimes.
