Community referee (RFU Level 6) on here to watch rugby and try to help fans understand the game we all love, the laws and how they’re interpreted. π🧅s my own.
@ajsrugby Depends what really happened. We (rugby fans) often get over excited and spill beer on people (or is it just me?), but deliberately throwing beer is not on and is wasteful.
@talkMacca Don’t understand those asking why he didn’t go for the drop goal, or even saying that Russell would. Two fly halves who don’t go for the drop goal; why would they risk it now, with such a strong pack? Only criticism would be to try using the backs.
@EngRugbyDebate And the first choice ten has only kicked one drop goal in his career…Not sure the DG was right for Bath, but could / should they have gone wider at some point?
@WarrenLowe1@AndyGoode10 This isn’t passion or atmosphere, and there’s no place for it in rugby (or any sport). Paying for a ticket doesn’t give him the right to be a dick.
@DougProp@raelbrav Agreed on the first point, but we don’t play all the verses (I know the second, which is very occasionally sung, but no more). I’m sure most Scots don’t know every verse of FoS, but who cares?
@TheGreatBonobo@TheRugbyIssue The bunker protocols aren’t in the laws of the game. Also, nowhere in the laws does it state that serious acts of foul play = RC (although it is applied). The bunker protocols are seperate, and are there to reduce RCs to 20-min RCs where appropriate.
@mangorugby The joys of supply and demand. I know they’ve had problems with planning, but should build a bigger stadium outside the city, if the council don’t want the business.
@Champrugby Should probably use the crest and name of the team that won at the time (eg Newcastle Red Bulls, Sale Sharks in 1994, N’ton Saints badge, Bristol Bears pre-2018). Shame to ignore the history of these clubs
