The student community has announced a call for nationwide mass rallies tomorrow, Friday.

Dear Citizens,

Our beloved motherland is going through a severe crisis. Law enforcement and government-affiliated thugs have brutally attacked students' peaceful protests, staining our streets with the blood of peace-loving students and citizens. Students are being harassed and tortured simply for being students, with their phones being checked and their privacy invaded. Education is the backbone of our nation, yet being a student today has become a crime. Even teachers, the nation's builders, are not spared from this brutality. They are being humiliated, and those supporting the movement are being arrested and tortured. Students and supporters of the movement are facing arbitrary arrests and raids in neighborhoods, under the pretext of mass arrests. This has turned into a business of extortion, with threats of disappearance used to extract large sums of money. Yesterday, six coordinators from Barishal University, along with many others, were arrested. Although six central coordinators were released from the Detective Branch office today, former DUCSU Social Services Secretary Akhtar Hossain, coordinator Arif Sohel, and many others remain imprisoned and tortured. Oppressed students await their freedom while many suffer in hospital beds, facing permanent disability. Numerous students and ordinary people have lost limbs or other body parts, becoming permanently disabled.

Students cannot sleep peacefully at home, living every moment in fear of arrest or disappearance. The cries of the relatives of those who have been martyred or disappeared fill the air. Additionally, esteemed university teachers, the future builders of our nation, are being attacked within their campuses by the police. Police officers have assaulted respected faculty members such as Professor Sehrin Amin Monami and Professor Nusrat Jahan Chowdhury of Dhaka University’s Public Administration Department. We strongly condemn and protest against these heinous attacks.

Dear citizens and conscious students,
You know we are not protesting for any personal gain. Our movement is for your and your children's freedom. What was our crime? Is it a crime to demand our constitutional rights? Why were hundreds of our brothers killed? We do not know the answers, but we will not stop our movement until justice is served. In memory of those who have been martyred, injured, disabled, or arrested in this struggle, we are announcing a nationwide "Prayer and Student-Public Mass Rally" program for tomorrow.
Program Announcement: In Protest Against the Massacres and Mass Arrests, and to Achieve the 9-Point Student Demands

Tomorrow, after the Friday Jummah prayers, we will hold prayers, visit the graves of the martyrs, and organize prayer sessions in temples, churches, and all places of worship. Following the Jummah prayers, there will be a mass rally by students and citizens.

We call upon workers, professionals, cultural activists, journalists, human rights activists, intellectuals, and religious leaders—indeed, all citizens of Bangladesh—to actively participate in and support tomorrow's "Prayer and Student-Public Mass Rally" program.

We urge the Imams and Khateebs of mosques not to remain silent in this critical time for our nation. Announce your protest from the mimbars. We also call upon the teachers and students of madrasas: you are the leaders in these difficult times. Do not stay idle; join the mass rally after Jummah prayers from your Mosques and Madrasas to protest against the massacres and mass arrests and to achieve our 9-point demands.
