i got food poisoning twice in bali.
both times from smoothie bowls. both times completely worth it.
our first month, we moved there to build tally. figured if we were going to bet everything, might as well do it somewhere with a good view.
somewhere in there i got obsessed with smoothie bowls. easily the best i've ever had.
the catch: bali is notorious for bali belly. food poisoning, usually from raw fruit, dairy, or the water everything's rinsed in. everyone warned me, but I had them anyways.
the first one hit on day three. i spent it doubled over on the side of the road, nowhere near a bathroom.
then it happened again.
and both times, they were worth it. they were that good.
so i kept medicine on me, and kept eating anyway.
i could've just given them up. but the best things usually come with a cost. you don't avoid them, you just stop pretending there isn't a risk.
that's the whole idea behind tally.
real habits, real consequences. you put money on the line, so you actually follow through.
bet on yourself. (and pack the medicine.)

idk why people always try to do so many things and ‘lifemax’. I feel like putting all your time and energy into one thing is so fulfilling and more rewarding
