The POCSO Act and other laws for women's safety are robust, but their impact depends on swift and fair action by local police. From investigation to conviction, timely justice is crucial.

Consider these cases:

Surat's Pandesara POCSO case: Chargesheet filed in 10 days, rapist sentenced to death in 22 days.

Puna police station case: Rapist sentenced to death in just 32 days.

Not just in rape cases, but also in the murder of a 22-year-old daughter, Gujarat Police filed a chargesheet in 9 days, and justice was served within 75 days, with the murderer sentenced to death.

Bhavnagar POCSO case: Chargesheet in 24 hours; justice served in 52 days.

Stalking and harassment cases: Culprits punished with 5 years sentence.

Women's safety is a fundamental human right, not a political issue. We must act with urgency, transparency, and collective responsibility. Let's ensure our mothers, daughters, and sisters live without fear. No more delays, no more excuses—only prompt action and accountability.

এটা যদি সত্যি হয় তাহলে এটা বুঝতে হবে যে RG KAR হাসপাতালের ঘটনায় সিভিক পুলিশের গ্রেফতারি নাটক ছাড়া আর কিছু নয় !

The role of Dr. Sandip Ghosh; Principal of R.G. Kar Medical College must be brought under the scanner.
It is common knowledge that Ghosh was removed twice from the coveted R.G. Kar Medical College's Principal's chair by the WB Health Department but he mysteriously remained in the position. Such is his influence that once a Govt order for his removal was cancelled within 48 hours and another time after he was removed and transferred to the Murshidabad Medical College but found his way back to R.G. Kar within a month.

He should be immediately suspended and removed from his position at least for his failure to ensure the safety of Doctors and Healthcare Workers within the Hospital premises.
His misleading statements and carefree attitude in the aftermath of this tragic incident exposes his indifference towards the victim.

There is a fair chance that people close to him may have been involved and the Police are working hastily to wrap up the investigation so that they don't get caught. His influence in the power circle is considerable.

Only an impartial and transparent Court monitored CBI investigation will unveil the circumstances which led to the gruesome rape & murder of the on-duty PGT (Post-Graduate Trainee) Doctor.
The Police & Administration have more to hide than to conduct a fair probe and uncover the complete truth.

হ্যাঁ ঠিকই দেখেছেন কিংবা বলেছেন, বাংলা নিজের মেয়েকে চায়।

এই কথাটায় কোনো ভুল নেই। যে মেয়েটা বিটেক বা এমটেক করে বুড়ো মা-বাপকে কল্যানীতে একা রেখে দিয়ে ব্যাঙ্গালোর বা হায়দ্রাবাদ বা ভুবনেশ্বরে চাকরি করছে, তাকে তার শহর ফেরত পেতে চায়। যে মেয়েটা এমবিএ করে একটা সিঙ্গেল রুম এপার্টমেন্টে একা একা হাত পুড়িয়ে খেয়ে চেন্নাইয়ের কোনো ভারীশিল্প সংস্থার এইচআর বিভাগে কাজ করছে, তাকে তার নিজের সল্ট লেকের ব্লক ফেরত পেতে চায়। যে মেয়েটা ছোট ছোট বাচ্চাদের ছেড়ে পেটের দায়ে বাসন্তীর পল্লীগ্রাম থেকে বাধ্য হয়ে দিল্লিতে কোনো তকমা লাগানো তথাকথিত অবাঙালি পরিবারে পরিচারিকার কাজ করতে গেছে, বাংলার গ্রাম সেই অসহায় মাকে ফেরত চায়। বাংলা তাকে ফেরত চায় যে বাঙ্গালী মেয়েটি রোজগারের আর কোনো উপায় না দেখতে পেয়ে মরমে মরতে মরতে আজ ভারতবর্ষের ভিন্ন কোনে ভুল পথে চালিত হয়েছে।

বিষয়টি হলো সারা শহর জুড়ে যে বিজ্ঞাপনগুলো দেখে এসেছি এবং দেখছি তার লেখাটা ঠিক কিন্তু সঙ্গের ছবিটা ভুল।

ওটা যাদের ছবি হওয়া উচিত ছিল, তাদের হাজার চেষ্টা করলেও ঘরে ফেরার যো নেই কারণ পশ্চিমবঙ্গে তাদের জন্য রোজগার নেই। এই পরিস্থিতিটাই পাল্টাতে হবে। আর যিনি পাল্টাবেন তিনি নারী না পুরুষ, তাতে আমাদের মতো সাধারণ নাগরিকদের কারো কিচ্ছু আসে যায় না। যদি যোগিজির নেতৃত্বে মাত্র চার বছরে ইউপি আজ ভারতের সব রাজ্যের মধ্যে গ্রস স্টেট ডোমেস্টিক প্রোডাক্ট ইনডেক্সে তামিলনাড়ু আর গুজরাটকে টেক্কা দিয়ে পাঁচ নম্বর থেকে সোজা দুই নম্বরে উঠে আসতে পারে, আমরা পারবো না কেন? আমরাও পারবো, আমাদের ছেলেমেয়েরাও আনন্দ করে ঘরে ফিরবে, কেবল সঠিক নেতৃত্ব বেছে নেওয়া হোক।

বাংলা সত্যিই নিজের মেয়েদের চায়।
