If a father wants to meet his child, he has to do so in the presence of a police officer, an aaya, and the mother, in a court visitation room where 20–30 other fathers are already meeting their children.

Ironically, a jail convict gets more time to spend with their family than a father meeting his own child.

A child doesn’t understand court orders, accusations, or legal battles, they only understand absence. This is not justice, this is emotional punishment for both the child and the parent.
