Many might infer here that Modi has something to do with downfall of Shreyas. But I don’t think that’s what @Shahrcasm bhai is saying. Historically those who have crossed paths with Modi have seen their stars falling with Modi having to do anything

So while it is true that the downfall of Shreyas Iyer began after that ill fate WC Final, inadvertently attributing the same to snubbing Modi is factually incorrect.

Modi has better things to do than get back at Iyer for the snub & had it been so, he would never have been appointed captain of the Indian Team now

Shreyas is a cocky & arrogant chap with a bad attitude. Players like Bumrah & KL Rahul etc who have achieved so much more than Shreyas are far more down to earth & better leaders too
