This image sends a signal - "pedestrians be damned. We can't be bothered about you, and if some of you bump into vehicles because you are forced to walk on the road, that's ok". BWSSB does this with impunity. Other cities tackle this by making infra companies work as contractors to the city and setting clear conditions for work whereas we give them a parallel track as an agent of the state government. We should do that too. In fact, that's what the law requires. @comm_blr_south
The slow pace of work is a complication. People will put up with some of this if we reach global standards in speed of infra development. But we're clearly the slowest among the major economies in this - things that take days and weeks elsewhere take months and years in our cities. Those in charge are generalists, and they don't have the industry knowledge to do this better. The contracting is also poor and dodgy ... all this up and this is what we get.
Competence matters.
Thank you sir @msrbommanahalli please look at condition from Arekere to gottigere / Koli farm too , badly needs asphalt and also Doddakammanhalli road

Why is Namma Metro Phase 3 still pending at the Government of India?
The Government of Karnataka has already clarified that the additional cost of the double-decker section will be borne by the State. Similar double-decker Metro corridors have been approved and implemented in cities like Nagpur and Mumbai.
So what exactly is the policy hurdle here, @MoHUA_India? Or is Bengaluru simply being made to wait while the file gathers dust in Delhi?
Also, what are MPs @ShobhaBJP and @Tejasvi_Surya doing to secure approval for a project that millions of commuters depend on? It is easy to blame the State, but where is the pressure on the Centre to clear the proposal?
Measures Initiated to Ensure Timely Completion of Bannerghatta Road Works
Pipeline chamber and manhole works are currently being carried out by the BWSSB on Bannerghatta Road, from Arekere Signal to Bellekahalli Signal (near Vega City Mall) nearly 2km stretch. According to the BWSSB, these works are expected to be completed by May 31, 2026.
Following this, Bengaluru South City Corporation will undertake asphalt laying and road resurfacing works, which are scheduled to be completed before June 20, 2026.
Motorists are requested to cooperate and bear with the temporary inconvenience during the execution of these works.

🚧🛣️ Road Restoration Work on Bannerghatta Road 🚜✨
🏛️ Bengaluru South City Corporation is carrying out bitumen mix laying work opposite 📍IIM Bangalore on Bannerghatta Road to improve road conditions and provide a smoother, safer commute for 🚗 motorists, 🏍️ riders,
Does @googlemaps add up the congestion ahead +8/10/15 and then give the eta? I think ETA is adjusted on the way based on real data so the initial 1hr 15 mins to office easily becomes 1hr 50 mins :(
Anyways sadly no one can predict #ORRTraffic that too when it rains ..#googlemaps
Footpath or parking for restaurant? Right next to hulimavu traffic station Bannerghatta rd, and btw restaurant has dedicated parking right behind ..
