No more unlawful arrests. ❌
Tribal people staged a big protest against the arrests of social worker Laxman Naik and doctor Randall Sequeira in Rayagada, Odisha.
Such arrests amount to harassing doctors and human rights activists in remote areas.
No Justice, No Peace. 🔥🔥
Ambedkarite youth staged a protest in the pouring rain, demanding justice for Akilan, a dalit boy who died by suicide after facing humiliation over his caste and beef eating.
Daughter of an Auto-Rickshaw Driver: Deepali Salve’s Journey from the Slums of Mumbai to the Frontlines of the Ambedkarite Movement.
Some people rise above their circumstances to change their own destiny. Others rise to change the destiny of an entire community. Deepali Salve belongs to the latter.
I first met Deepali Salve in Nanded, Maharashtra, in 2022. She had travelled all the way from Mumbai, all alone, to listen to our Ambedkarite speakers. When I asked her about her journey, she replied simply, “Yes, Dada. I came here to listen to all our Ambedkarite speakers.”
I did not know then that this meeting would become the beginning of a shared journey of struggle, organization, and social transformation.
As we spoke about the condition of our people, the atrocities committed against Dalits, and the continuing injustice faced by our communities, Deepali expressed a pain that went far beyond her personal experiences. She said, “Dada, when I see the condition of our people and the atrocities committed against them, I feel that we are still living under Peshwa rule.”
Her words struck me deeply. They reflected the anguish of a young Dalit woman who had witnessed inequality and understood that silence could never be the answer to oppression.
That day, we shared more than our concerns. We shared a determination to organize, resist, and build a movement that could give our people a stronger collective voice. From that conviction emerged the All India Independent Scheduled Castes Association (AIISCA)—an effort to organize our communities, assert our rights, and carry forward the unfinished mission of Babasaheb Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.
But we also understood that political awareness and social mobilization alone were not enough. Our children needed education. Our girls needed opportunities. Our most marginalized students needed guidance, resources, and someone who would tell them that their dreams were possible.
This realization led us to establish the Savitribai Phule Resource Centre (SRC).
Today, we have more than 15 centres, helping students from marginalized backgrounds pursue higher education. Every year, more than 100 students move towards higher education in some of India's premier institutions. Behind every student who succeeds is a family that dares to dream, a young person who refuses to surrender, and a movement that believes no child should be denied an education because of caste, class, or circumstances.
Deepali is an inseparable part of this struggle.
Her own life tells a powerful story of courage, sacrifice, and determination. She comes from Anand Nagar, a Dalit-dominated slum in Chembur, Mumbai—a community where poverty restricts opportunities, where girls often struggle to pursue education, and where early marriage can bring an end to their dreams before they have a chance to take flight.
Her father drives an auto-rickshaw. Her mother works as a sanitation worker and is associated with Stree Mukti Sanghatana. They may not have possessed great financial resources, but they possessed something far more powerful: the determination to educate their children despite every hardship.
Through their sacrifices, they gave their children the opportunity to imagine a different future.
From a government school in Jalna to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar High School and Acharya College in Chembur, Deepali continued her journey against the odds. Poverty could have limited her opportunities. Social stigma could have weakened her confidence. The barriers of caste and gender could have forced her to abandon her aspirations.
But she refused to let her circumstances define her destiny.
Today, she is a PhD scholar at the University of Mumbai, the Maharashtra General Secretary of AIISCA, and a Director of the Savitribai Phule Resource Centre. She is also breaking barriers as one of the rare women from her neighbourhood to pursue a doctorate.
In this video, you can see our Sathi Ashu S. Bauddh from the Ambedkarite movement engaged in a argument with the police regarding holding a candle march at Chaityabhoomi.
Regarding the tragic suicide of IIT Mumbai student Sahil Wakode, progressive movements, Ambedkarite friends, and leftist comrades had decided to organize a candle march at Chaityabhoomi, Dadar. However, even before this candle march could take place, Ambedkarite movement scholar Deepali Salve was detained from her residence and later detained other members at Chaityabhoomi. Police did not even listen to many people when they tried to explain that this was not a protest, but a peaceful candle march.
The police are taking them away, but Chaityabhoomi is our place of inspiration. It is our sacred ground. It belongs to our founding father, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. We were holding a candle march at that very place. A candle march is a completely peaceful process. The police argue that there was no permission.
However, a candle march does not cause any harm to society; rather, it elevates social values, promotes social unity, helps us overcome mutual social discrimination, and moves us further toward an egalitarian society.
The core of the Indian Constitution is inherently egalitarian, and what happened to Sahil Wakode is deeply unjust. This candle march was organized to give voice to that injustice.
We strongly condemn this government and administration.
Securing justice for Sahil Wakode is extremely crucial.

India has no democracy for Dalits.
Why is Mumbai Police detaining students and activists gathered at Chaityabhoomi to demand justice in IIT BOMBAY student Sahil Wakode's institutional murder case?
Can't Dalits seek justice under BJP govt?
Mumbai police have detained AIISCA @AIISCA1957 leaders and members … for what ? from when visiting Chaityabhoomi has become a crime?
Shame on Mumbai police and Casteist Maharashtra government .
Justice for Sahil Wakode.

"Chamariya, we will kill you..." 💔😡
Gajraj Yadav & his Yadav caste goons brutally attacked a Dalit family in MP's Guna.
These monsters also assaulted women and publicly tore a MINOR girl's clothes. Dalits in India can't even breathe peacefully.
Stand-up comedian Masoom Rajwani and several others were detained by Mumbai Police for participating in a peaceful candlelight vigil in memory of Sahil Wakode, a Dalit student who died by suicide at IIT Bombay over alleged caste discrimination.
Mumbai police has detained @deepali_writes in her Chembur house ahead of candlelight gathering at Chaityabhoomi tonight at 6 PM.
The police is stopping a Dalit woman from coming to Ambedkar’s sacred place. We will not tolerate this police repression. Come in huge number tonight
@deepali_writes Deepali Salve a leader of AIISCA, has been placed under house arrest. Why? Simply because we wished to visit Chaityabhoomi in Dadar—a site of great significance to our community—to light candles and pay tribute to the young man driven to suicide by a casteist professor at IIT Bombay. This action by the Mumbai Police is a criminal act, intended to intimidate and threaten women from the Dalit-Ambedkarite community. We, at AIISCA, condemn this conduct by the Mumbai Police and remain committed to the fight for justice for Sahil Wakode.

There is one symbol the RSS seems to fear more than anything else:
®
————————————-
® stands for Registered.
This is what truly frightens the RSS.
Because formal registration invites legal scrutiny, financial disclosures, transparency and accountability.
Who funds the RSS?
Where does the money come from? How is it spent?
Who audits the accounts?
And who is ultimately accountable?
If the RSS has nothing to hide, why not open its books to public scrutiny?
"Horrifying caste killing." 💔😡
A Dalit youth was brutally mob lynched while returning home in Bijnor, UP..
People initially called it an accident, but now a video of the incident has gone viral. Some goons held him captive and beat him to death.
Dalits face brutal genocide every day in India, but no government seems serious about their safety. The BJP government shows utter apathy towards Dalits. Extremely terrible situation.
I strongly urge international human rights organisations to pay attention to the plight of Dalits. How can the world remain blind to their suffering, just like the Government of India and state governments?
