At ARUWE, we recognize that creating a conducive learning environment goes beyond providing access to classrooms. We support vulnerable girls and children with disabilities by improving access to safe, gender-responsive, and disability-friendly WASH facilities in schools.
Today, we reflect on the importance of this year's #DayOfTheAfricanChild theme: "Ensuring universal access to water, sanitation, and hygiene for every child in Africa."
Access to WASH is essential to every child's health, education, and overall well-being.

#SAAM#EndSexualViolence
Sexual assault is any unwanted sexual act or behavior carried out without a person’s consent. It can include rape, attempted rape, unwanted touching, sexual harassment, or forcing someone to engage in sexual acts through intimidation, threats, manipulation, or coercion.
Throughout March, we’ve been engaging communities in Wakiso through GBV awareness activities focused on strengthening access to justice for women and girls.
Community members are receiving vital information on prevention and response alongside free legal consultations.
#IWD26
Today, we celebrate the strength, leadership, and resilience of women and girls in our communities.
At ARUWE, we remain committed to advancing women’s rights, strengthening access to justice, and driving community action to close the gender gap.
