NEW ARTICLE: Why Walking Feels Like Disobedience in India.

I did not set out to write about urban planning. I was thinking about walking.

Over the last few years, I have spent time in different cities across the world, often doing the simplest thing one can do in a place - stepping out without a destination. I began to notice how differently my body responded. In some cities, walking felt like rest. In others, like preparation for impact.

This article is an attempt to understand what that difference means. Not in terms of policy or infrastructure, but in terms of values. How a civilisation treats walking, I have come to believe, reveals how it treats the ordinary human being.

They shot him in cold blood not because he was a Brahmin, Kshatriya, Vaishya or SC. They shot him at point blank range in front of his newly wedded wife not because he spoke Kannada, Tamil, Hindi, Oriya or Bengali.

They didn’t care if he was a BJP voter, Congress voter, or SP voter. They did not care if he was a proud Hindu or a communist or a ‘proud secular’ who believed in Aman Ka Tamasha.

They slaughtered this innocent man simply because he was born a Hindu, they were Muslims and for them, he was a Kafir!

At the end of the day, that is the ONLY truth.

I can confirm that narcotic drugs have arrived in remote villages like where I live in Tamil Nadu. We are struggling to keep our school kids off drugs.

What Annamalai-ji has discussed here goes well beyond politics. We have to deal with this issue resolutely.

- People used to taunt Mandir Wahin Banayenge, Tareek Nahi Batayenge" so #RamMandir trust talks to Tata & L&T group for construction

- Initially the company sets the timeline of 2.5 Years for completion of Temple

- As the constitution of #AyodhyaSriRamTemple started they came to know that there was 60 feet deep Muddy and Sandy soil due to which it was hard to construct a solid, strong and magnificent #AyodhyaRamMandir

- So the company had to reassess the soil and remove the soil of almost 1 Acre up to 60 feet

- Then Concrete was rolled layer by layer and made a strong stage which took almost a year due to which Temple time increased to 3.5 Years from Initial 2.5 Years

- Due to such hard condition it will be hard to asses how much time it will be needed to complete total #RamMandir

- Repeated postponement of dates will not go down well and will lead to restlessness so it was decided to to complete those required structures in 1st first phase in which Pran Prathistha of #RamLalla can be done.

Vishwaprasanna Teertha Swami ji is Madhwa Sanyasi. Like Shankaracharyas the Madhwacharyas are an important part of #SanatanaDharma. I hope #Congress or those questioning #RamMandirPranPratishtha on January 22nd knows more than Madhwa Sanyasi himself. As a devout Hindu his every word is important and respected for me. So should for any devout #Sanatani.

India has very many unexplored beautiful coastal towns, and this is a great opportunity to develop many of them into tourist destinations.
