Many travel between Yelahanka/north Bengaluru & Whitefield/other city areas, but SWR hasn’t resumed MEMU trains (06535/36, 06537/38, 06532/31) between Chikkaballapur & Cantonment via Byappanahalli, cancelled since Jan' 25.

These trains could’ve helped commuters switch to Metro at Byappanahalli & ease congestion at Hebbal/ORR @SWRRLY @drmsbc

Karnataka’s Nandini milk just dropped a game-changer — and it's not the flavour, it's the packaging.

In a bold move for sustainability, Karnataka Milk Federation’s Nandini brand has started testing biodegradable milk packets made from corn starch, a first for India!

These eco-friendly packets look like plastic but break down in just 6 months, compared to traditional covers that choke our planet for over 500 years.

Launched on World Environment Day at Kanakapura’s new Mega Dairy, the pilot began in Hunasanahalli village, and early reports found no leaks, no quality issues.

Why This Matters:
Bengaluru uses up to 25 lakh plastic milk packets daily. These new covers could drastically reduce waste clogging our cities.

Bangalore Urban, Rural and Ramanagara District Co-Operative Milk Producers’ Societies’ Union Ltd (BAMUL) aims to roll this out across all milk packaging operations very soon.

Nandini is walking the talk, proving that innovation doesn’t have to cost the Earth.

Stupidity. It's a Kannada city, originally named Chennapura (Land of sea shores) there are literature records for that.

Chennai, a Kannada majority City was taken by TN after independence and made as capital to dilute the Kannada population by migrating Tamilians there.

But with just 6750 buses, 10,000 drivers, traffic congestion, without any BRTS or bus priority lanes @BMTC_BENGALURU serves

42,00,000 daily trips!

That’s ~20 lakh people using the bus instead of personal vehicle daily.

Bengaluru back in 1870s was relying on lakes for Drinking water , then T.G Halli ( Chamarajasagara) & Hesgaratta.

In 1970s , Kaveri water from Shivanasamudra was pumped to Bengaluru to get 135 MLD at stage 1 now it’s around 1450 MLD (700 cusecs / day)

From Quenching the thirst through lakes to getting water from 100kms is the situation.

No more Kaveri stages will help the population in future too , they need to control the immigration and decongest Bengaluru.

Rain water harvesting should be the main priority in every household, Indeed they can even connect to the near borewell too , clearing lake encroachments & filling it up with treated water to enrich ground water is in need

@VardhamanBN @Bnglrweatherman Ofcourse govt need to concentrate on tier 2 & 3 cities of state for development to depressurize B'luru but what is the solution for current problem, we can't be wholly dependent on kaveri river. Officials need to enforce mandatory RWH installation rules more effectively.

Me at a Koramangala Cafe trying to order Kombucha:
1. Counter guy: Sir, you can scan the QR in the table to order
2. I scan the QR, but it takes me to the app store to download the app
3. I sign up, and the app asks me to scan QR again
4. But can't find Kombucha on the app but I see it in the display
5. I go to the counter and tell him that I can't find Kombucha
6. Counter guy: Oh really! Let me update the dashboard.
7. Counter person updates the inventory
8. Counter guy: Sir, now you can scan the QR code.
9. I refuse, and he bills me directly.

Me ordering coffee in Darshini:
1. Go to the counter and ask for a coffee token
2. Go to the coffee guy and give the token
3. Get coffee and drink.

Everything doesn't need to be through an app. FFS!
