General Manager Shri P. Ananth extended a warm welcome to Hon’ble MP, Koppal, Shri K. Rajashekar Basavaraj Hitnal at Rail Soudha, Hubballi, today. A Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training Programme was conducted by the Medical Department, SWR, for staff and officers at the PCME office, Rail Soudha, HQ on 19.08.2026.
Dr. Edwin, Divisional Medical Officer, demonstrated Basic Life Support and CPR techniques using a mannequin, covering scene safety, calling for help, chest compressions, airway management and AED operation.
The session focused on building confidence and preparedness among staff to respond effectively during medical emergencies.

A significant step forward in ophthalmic healthcare at Central Hospital, Hubballi, with the inauguration of a new Phacoemulsification System today.

The facility was inaugurated by Shri P. Ananth, General Manager, SWR, in the presence of Dr. Sobha Jasmine S., PCMD/SWR, along with senior medical officers, doctors and staff.

The new facility will further strengthen advanced eye-care services for railway beneficiaries.
