I don’t wear short slit skirts and I don’t shake hands with men.
And those to me are the symbols of progressiveness in my beliefs and rights as a proud Malay and Muslim woman.
Thank you.
Dad Law: A dad will use his child as an excuse to buy all the toys he secretly wants to play with himself. He is now free to buy as many LEGOs as he wants without judgment. “It’s for the kids!” A dad laughs in the face of the upper age limit on toy packaging.
So when is it going to be halal and safe enough to say: “Eid without family coming and going is the greatest and most wonderful invention in human history?”

We often talk just so that we won’t have this void of silence; thinking that silence is something to be ashamed of; something to be avoided. But it’s not. There’s nothing wrong with silence. In fact, if you have nothing worthwhile to say, it’s best that you remain silent!

The who who is saved during this COVID crisis isn't the one who doesn't get the virus: it is the one who benefits from this time, reflects about life, and comes out a better person.
And the one who fails isn't the one who gets it & dies a martyr: it is the one who didn't change.
It's so difficult not to be alarmist but the Muslim community needs to really understand this message. Please emotionally prepare yourself for not being with your loved ones in their last moments. That conversation should start now.
