On 12 April 2026, CISF Unit NALCO, Damanjodi paid homage to bravehearts who sacrificed their lives on 12 April 2009, foiling a Naxal attack. CISF earned 22 Gallantry Medals. Their valor continues to inspire and strengthen the force.

Central Industrial Security Force pays heartfelt tribute to the bravehearts of CISF Unit NALCO, Damanjodi, who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty on 12.04.2009 while gallantly thwarting an armed LWE attack on NALCO’s explosive magazine and other vital assets. Their unmatched courage, devotion to duty and selfless service to the nation remain etched in the collective memory of the Force and the country. Their legacy of valour continues to inspire generations of CISF personnel to serve with honour and unwavering resolve.

On the occasion, CISF Unit NALCO, Damanjodi also paid homage to its bravehearts, reaffirming the unit’s enduring respect for their supreme sacrifice. In recognition of the extraordinary courage displayed during the operation, the unit was awarded 22 Gallantry Medals, including 06 President’s Police Medals for Gallantry (PPMG) and 16 Police Medals for Gallantry (PMG). The selfless valour of these bravehearts remains a source of enduring inspiration for the entire Force.

An impressive Passing Out Parade of 47th Batch CT/GD Basic Course was conducted at RTC Mundali followed by Demo showcasing the operational skills of trainees. Dr. Shikhar Sahai, IG, CISF graced the occasion as Chief Guest.

Timely intervention by CISF, averted a major crime at Bengaluru Airport.

Around midnight on 16 Nov, a man armed with a long metal knife charged toward two taxi drivers at the T1 Arrival area of @BLRAirport. ASI/Exe Sunil Kumar & team acted swiftly, overpowered the attacker and recovered the knife—preventing any harm to passengers or staff.

The accused and all involved were immediately handed over to KIA Police for further legal action. A preliminary inquiry suggests the act was in retaliation to an earlier dispute.

#CISF continues to uphold its commitment to safeguarding passengers, airport personnel and critical aviation infrastructure.

Police officers are entitled to 15 days of Casual Leave and a month of Earned Leave each year, along with Commuted Leave, Half Pay Leave, LTC etc.

In last thirty years, I haven’t seen a single officer who’s been able to take even half of it.

माँ को मिला प्रमोशन और मासूम बेटा बना कमांडेंट।

सुरक्षा और संवेदना का एक अनोखा संगम हाल ही में CISF यूनिट BRBNML, सलबोनी में देखने को मिला। हेड कांस्टेबल के रूप में पदोन्नति प्राप्त कर रही एक महिला कर्मी के साथ मंच पर उनका नन्हा बेटा भी मौजूद था — गर्व से सीना ताने, माँ की उपलब्धि का साक्षी।

जब यूनिट कमांडर ने बच्चे से सहजता से पूछा — “बेटा, बड़े होकर क्या बनना है?”, तो उसका मासूम जवाब आया — “कमांडेंट!”
इस निश्छल उत्तर को सम्मान देते हुए, यूनिट कमांडर ने अपनी कुर्सी बच्चे को सौंपते हुए कहा — “आज के कमांडेंट तुम ही हो।”

यह दृश्य दर्शकों के लिए केवल एक औपचारिकता नहीं, बल्कि एक प्रेरणादायक स्मृति बन गया — जो दर्शाता है कि वर्दी के पीछे भी एक माँ का दिल, एक बच्चे का सपना और एक सजीव मानवीय भाव छिपा होता है।
