In terms of risk management, there are a couple of things to take into consideration with regard to the Soul implementation.

We are following an isolated approach to manage borrowing across the Soul Money Markets. ETH for example is used as collateral to take loans of ETH from the same base protocol, maintaining a correlated position that lets users access liquidity while avoiding any Soul position being liquidated at the base‑protocol level. This also lets us shift the entire liquidation layer to the Soul level, creating a new revenue stream for the protocol.

In addition, we will follow a conservative approach when integrating protocols on Soul: only lending protocols with a considerable market share, a clean track record, and strict security guidelines will be added at first to minimize base‑protocol risk. Soul does not perform liquidity management; users decide which protocol they want to supply to or borrow from.
