@rohan_connolly Although I wasn’t really a Brad Scott fan, I’m not sure his sacking has achieved anything. It’s not as if we’re playing with freedom and dare under solly. It’s very hard to see much positivity other than our 5 newest players
@MatterOfStats Play every team once before any repeated games. Keep gather round- although one team misses out. Rotate over a 5 year cycle the teams you play twice. It shouldn’t be too hard
@CraiG_Mc If a coach gets us winning, how could the bombers faithful not get behind that? Who is more credentialed to achieve that? Hirdy can tell stories of winning the 2000 flag (1/2 the list wasn’t alive for) while Longmire can tell them this is how I coach premiership winning teams
@DonCaldwelll This was 13 years ago & things change. can he still coach? Voss got Carlton into a prelim final, that doesn’t mean he can coach. We can’t just isolate the good things. There’s coaches out there with better results, finals wins and more recent involvement in AFL. Let’s get them
@johnnyb7707@Kyptastic1 Thanks for the help John. While you’re helping, any thoughts on why Jones is in the extended team and a likely emergency player despite very poor VFL form?
@ScooterMcNeice Arrogance, entitlement and free rein to do whatever he wants with no one powerful enough to question him, with his mates in powerful positions at the club. Never had a full time involvement in another club and never been an assistant coach. I hope not
@ScooterMcNeice Based on stats he was bottom 3 for all players in the match. Teams both had lots of VFL top up players and minimal AFL listed players- and Harry still couldn’t do anything. Seems so far away from his best of a few years back
Probably will get a call up to the seniors
@ScooterMcNeice Everyone else gets to learn and develop in the seniors - we were never beating Brisbane anyway, so why not back him in and see if he can improve? It’s a development year and all that.
@rohan_connolly It would be so hard to give your best when every time you play you play thinking you are about to be dropped. What are we doing to his confidence? We gave Lual luamon 11 games in a row but Tsatas has never played more than 4 in a row. Show him some love and see what happens?
@KRUDLER62@essendonfc@FOXFOOTY Very sunny, average camera angles, red fence, red empty seats, lots of red on both teams jumpers (especially from the back) all made it harder to watch than it could have been
@CharlieDons I think he might become a good player. Not sure how he fits into our team though- you can’t play all of Hayes, Riddley, McKay and Reid can we? And I don’t think he’s better than any of them
@FOXFOOTY Is this bloke still a paid ambassador/consultant for the Tasmania team? Maybe instead of saying “triple premiership great” the headline could be “Devils consultant and fox footy content creator ..”
I’m sure most good players under 27 will be on Tassie’s wish list.
@codeaflau Isn’t it common and expected that a top 10 pick of an underperforming team would debut by round 4? What’s the big news here? There is only 2 others from the top 13 picks of last year yet to debut
@SilentGhost263@FootyLock6 Caldwell is a tough, hard guy and defensively good. Maybe he’s an option down back rotating with McGrath, Prior, Farrow and Roberts. Durham more fwd. Langford to a wing.
Parish, Merrett, Tsatas the starting mids.
I like Wright more in the ruck too
@CraiG_Mc Nicely written Craig. We can’t fix everything all at once and there has been so many broader problems with the club as a whole that seem to have been addressed. Hopefully this results in the success we’re craving in the years ahead
