Christianity:

“I created every one of you with a burden of sin — guilty from the moment of birth. I destroyed entire nations of you because you were evil sinners. Then I loved you so much that I made a woman pregnant so she would give birth to Me, and I would become My own son, so that I could have Myself killed as a sacrifice to Myself in order to save you evil sinners from the burden of sin that I created you with in the first place. If you have faith that I am My own father, that I am My own son and that My mother is the very woman I impregnated, that I am three separate persons embodied in one indivisible whole, and that I had Myself killed for your sins, salvation is yours — even if you worship saints, statues and idols and break the greatest commandments I gave to the Prophets of the Children of Israʾīl (Jacob): ‘You shall have no other deity besides Me and you shall not make graven images or idols.’”

Jesus (peace be upon him) in Christianity = raised to the status of God despite needing food and rest

Judaism:

“I chose one nation from among all mankind to be My special people and entered into an everlasting covenant with them. I gave them My Law through Moses and commanded them to keep it. I sent them many Prophets, yet they repeatedly disobeyed Me, broke My covenant, killed My Prophets and rejected those whom I sent to them - including Jesus - whom I sent with clear signs. Then, when I sent My final Messenger to confirm the truth that remained with them and to correct what they had altered and concealed, many of them rejected him as well, preferring their lineage and covenant over the guidance I revealed. Yet they continue to believe that My favour belongs to them by birth, even after rejecting Messengers whom I sent.”

Jesus (peace be upon him) in Judaism = a heretic who is being punished severely by boiling

Islam:

“I created each of you as a pure, sinless child possessing an innate recognition of My unique Lordship over all creation, an inclination to worship Me alone and a disposition towards recognising and performing good. Then I sent you Books and Messengers (to develop and perfect that innate disposition through revelation and reason) and outlined the two paths for you, one of safety and the other of harm. The path of safety is to worship Me alone and work righteous deeds by following the exemplary conduct of the Prophets and Messengers. Whoever shuns false deities, submits to Me alone and works righteousness, man or woman, I will not cause their deeds to be wasted. If you came to Me with an Earth full of sins, without associating partners with Me in worship, I will come to you with its like in forgiveness.”

🫀 Causes of the Corruption of the Heart

Al-Hasan al-Basri (رحمه الله) said:

“The corruption of hearts arises from six things:

They sin in hope of repentance,

and they learn knowledge but do not act upon it,

and when they act, they do not do so sincerely,

and they consume God’s provision but do not give thanks,

and they are not content with God’s decree,

and they bury their dead but do not take heed.”
