We saw some outstanding costumes, enjoyed delicious book-themed treats, handed out free books and vouchers, and even heard all about our teachers’ favourite books.

Today, we were pleased to welcome Solomon Theatre Company to school to deliver Skin Deep — a powerful performance raising awareness of knife crime, peer pressure and making safe choices. An engaging, informative and impactful session for our students.

Today our students were privileged to be part of a careers pathway presentation lead by the Royal Navy. The presentation highlighted the breadth of opportunities available in the Royal Navy - the students found it very informative!

Today we held our second Feeling Safe Day of the academic year, reinforcing our commitment to keeping all students feeling safe in school. Students took part in 4 lessons exploring how the British Values of Democracy and the Rule of Law, protect them and keep them safe.

Today we held a Feeling Safe Day at the Academy which included a visit from a sniffer dog. Students will now be more aware when seeing sniffer dogs in public places like stations and football matches, and reassures our community that our Academy is a safe, drug-free environment.

A really lovely Christmas Service at All Saints Parish Church today. Many thanks to our student readers and to Fr Diego for the service. A wonderful end to the term before Christmas.

Yesterday our students were involved in a Christmas enrichment day. Activities included; decorating gingerbread biscuits, designing Christmas decorations and making crackers and bath bombs. Students and staff also enjoyed a Christmas dinner to celebrate. Great fun was had by all!

We are really proud that, as part of our celebrations of Harvest Festival last half term, we gathered together 15 full boxes of food that was collected by the Dunstable Food Bank. Thanks to everyone that donated.

As part of our celebrations for Diwali, our students were able to be involved in an Indian Dance Workshop looking at Bollywood Dance moves and learning about the story behind Bollywood.

Our Year 9s enjoyed a Careers in Crime, Law & Science workshop this week. They investigated a real murder case from the 999 call, to debating it in a mock Crown Court. This was an exciting and engaging activity for all.

Today our Year 7 students were given a free backpack with goodies inside!

Today, we raised money for Macmillan. We were amazed by the generosity of students and staff, who brought in cakes to sell. We also had some fabulous 'Bake-Off' entries. This was our first charity event of the year, led by Courage House. We are thrilled to have raised £716.80.
