Learned that if the Muslim population is 20%, you lose ~40% of your sales if your restaurant isn’t halal certified.

It’s not because Muslims spend more.

It’s because a mixed group of Muslims and non-Muslims will only choose Halal spots so the entire group can eat and drink.

@SimplyDeeya A brand like Burger King or even Dominos coming in, and getting Halal certification signals something. They lose 20-30% of their revenue immediately here - yes, even in a city like Nairobi.
