Happy 150th birthday to the painting that gave its name to impressionism: Claude Monet’s « Impression, soleil levant » (Impression, Sunrise) which he painted in Nov. 1872 from his window overlooking Le Havre’s harbor.
Today, the painting belongs to Marmottan museum in Paris.
