wait I loved the pathongko that I tasted during one breakfast buffet in Bangkok (googled the name just now lol), and I'm only now learning it's based from youtiao 😆 need me some of this
One of the most iconic Chinese breakfasts: 油条 (yóutiáo) 🥖✨
油条 is a long, golden, deep-fried dough stick that’s crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
For many Chinese people, the classic breakfast combination is:
🥖 油条 (yóutiáo) = fried dough stick
🥛 豆浆 (dòujiāng) = soy milk
Some people dip the 油条 into warm soy milk, while others enjoy it on its own. It's simple, inexpensive, and a nostalgic part of childhood for many people in China.
Key vocabulary:
油条 (yóutiáo) = fried dough stick
豆浆 (dòujiāng) = soy milk
早餐 (zǎocān) = breakfast
If you visit China, trying 油条 and 豆浆 for breakfast is almost a rite of passage 🇨🇳
Have you ever tried this combination before? 👀

I think they also have youtiao in the menu of a Chinese resto my family frequents but they don't serve it as long sticks lol they're shaped the same way as pandesal
this is reminding me of how I never really got to experience people from mixed courses in a subject cuz our uni conducts classes by block and by course 😢
so in american universities, do you guys take classes with people outside of your course because why am i reading in fics that two people studying two different subjects are in the same maths lectures
they're building ai hubs near my city(=displacing people + sucking up the water supply etc etc), and now they're also cutting trees in my city (again) 🫠.....
