We are in middle of a mental health crisis and educators and students are really hurting right now.
So instead of writing platitudes of misguided βbest practicesβ to do #remotelearning or #hybrindlearning lets instead focus on supporting mental and emotional health.

Once again, research shows that longer times on synchronous video during remote instruction does nothing to improve learning.
Smaller chunks with smaller groups of interactive learning is clearly the way to go.

Overnight, teens went from schedules filled w social activities, sports/clubs/comp/shows, school & trips, to holding fragments of their lives in their hands, unanswered questions, & compounding daily scary news.
We need to find more ways to provide support for kids through this.
