@mfjlewis Has anyone noted that PXers have whined about Dignitatis Humanae (and their misinterpretation of it) for 50 years...only to have Rome remind them of what the limits of religious liberty actually are?
Sunday Homily - "Hospitality: A Divine Calling"
"Hospitality, kindness, goodness, and generosity toward others are meant to be the hallmark of Christian discipleship both toward people within and outside the tradition."

June 6 Scripture
Jesus noticed the large sums the rich put into the treasury, but it was the poor widow's contribution that caught his eye (Mk 12:43). Jesus knew widows were exploited (12:40). Yet, this woman gave her all. Jesus' notice of otherwise ignored people is precious.
Sunday Homily - "Like Trinity, Like Humanity"
“Jesus, the Son of God, enters our history and takes on human flesh, bringing with him the love that unites him to the Father and the Holy Spirit. In him, the mystery of humanity truly becomes clear.” - Leo XIV

@SteveSkojec This guy has a months long public breakdown, continuously whining because his priest wouldn't give him special treatment with the sacraments....and now whines about the pope...of course.
Sunday Homily - "A Pentecost Prayer"
Pentecost was the beginning of a revolution, a recreation of a wounded world. I love that which Pentecost stands for – mutual understanding, peace, and harmony.

May 21 Scripture
Jesus' prayer in today's gospel (Jn 17:20-26) captures God entire redemptive plan - that the love between the Father and the Son becomes integral to all of humanity. In Jesus' words, "... that the love with which you loved me may be in them and I in them."
May 20 Scripture
As Paul departs Ephesus he worries, "savage wolves will come among you" (Acts 20:29). As Jesus departs he prays, "Holy Father, that they may be one just as we are one" (Jn 17:11b). A divided church remains the greatest counter witness to Christ's redemptive work.
@jacek_gniadek@JamesMartinSJ I don't recall the catechism or any papal document of the last century requiring hatred from the faithful. I mostly recall the call to welcoming, deep compassion, and the belief that culpability may be uncertain among the gay community (along with all of us, for that matter).
Sunday Homily - "A New Presence, A New Maturity, A New Mission"
The ascension of Jesus is the beginning of a new era with a new presence. It brought about a new maturity to the disciples and gave them a new mission.

May 13 Scripture
The Athenians scoffed at Paul's proclamation of the resurrection (Acts 17:32). Epicurean & Stoic philosophers viewed bodily resurrection as impossible, irrational and ludicrous. But angel Gabriel had said to Mary, "Nothing will be impossible with God" (Lk 1:37).
May 7 Scripture
At the Council of Jerusalem, there was clarity that "God made no distinction between us and them" (Acts 15:9). Rather, as the gospel says, Jews and Gentiles need to be concerned about only one thing: “Remain in my love." Distinctions don't matter. Love matters.
May 5 Scripture
Jesus' comforting and consoling words were lived in the early church amidst great strife (Acts 14:19-28). When Jesus said, "Peace I leave with you" (Jn 14:27), he did not mean the absence of strife but the absolute assurance of his presence in the midst of strife.
