To the producers saying you don't need music theory as a musician: yall are dumb as fuck. It's like a physics teacher that doesn't know anything about physics. How are you gonna be a musician if you don't learn to play an instrument? Just doesn't make any sense to me.
The fun part is that chord progressions can't be copyrighted, so you basically could steal the chord progression of every track and get away with it. I'm not telling you to recycle or steal your stuff, but some people do it.
@assatajr There will be a massive genre switch again. I'm pretty sure that in 10 years hyperpop/rage will dominate. You already see a lot of new artists coming up doing that. And the fans of these artists listen to rap. Option 2 is that drill will be mainstream. Just my theory.
If a producer charges for a beat, they're "acting hollywood."
If a rapper turns down a feature that doesn't feel right or make sense, they're "acting hollywood."
If a woman doesn't give a dude her number, she's "acting hollywood."
It's a phrase used by users and losers.
Don't ever trust producers, that say they mix for free. If it ain't your homie, then its some random guy, who throws 5 soundgoodizers and sausage fatterners on the master.
