@GiovanniMommo@leonardo_f205@piesse21cm_@Timstillherelol In frankness everyone lost ww1 as far as I'm concerned. Italy had two million casualties, internment camps, and near collapse for a sliver of land. Also that's not what your previous claims were suggesting, you were pushing the VV angle pretty hard
@leonardo_f205@piesse21cm_@GiovanniMommo@Timstillherelol The Treaty of London (which established their territorial gains) ultimately was not honored. Italy's war efforts had very little effect on the German treatment after the war and acting like it was is clearly wrong lol. They never even entered Germany
@piesse21cm_@GiovanniMommo@Timstillherelol Bro I know it's not your fault; Cardona was simply a bad commander. I'm sure if Italy had better leadership at the time, things would have been different
@piesse21cm_@GiovanniMommo@Timstillherelol You're crying about them "ganging up" lol. The Germans were simply much more ferocious enemies than AH. Italy could have pushed through Trent and avoided the river if that's your contention, but I agree the river was a terrible place to stage the war. Should have rushed it early
@piesse21cm_@GiovanniMommo@Timstillherelol I know you won't let go of this narrative for the sake of your own national pride, but I hope you have a great day and can reclaim your country from the foreign invaders destroying it from the inside as we speak
@piesse21cm_@GiovanniMommo@Timstillherelol What about the other three years where they made no progress. Germany and Italy barley interacted for most of the war, excluding Caporetto where they destroyed Italy.
@GiovanniMommo@piesse21cm_@Timstillherelol AH's main opponent was Russia, where most of their military focus was until Russia collapsed. Italy made no military progress and lost territory from the blunder of Caporetto. The twelve battles of the Isonzo were a bloodath on both sides. Italy certainly made contribution to it.
@piesse21cm_@GiovanniMommo@Timstillherelol Italian people and country for the first time. But to say you won the war is a silly exaggeration that we both know to be false. The war was ending either way and the collapsing state of both empires was secured by years of combat, not two weeks of Italian progress
@piesse21cm_@GiovanniMommo@Timstillherelol Destroying the German army (Which is what they did) is the same as ending the war. I understand you Italians have much pride tied into the end of WW1, the only time you made any real contribution. I also understand that it is extremely important as the unifying point of the
@piesse21cm_@GiovanniMommo@Timstillherelol end by October is wrong and you know it. The only reason any of the western countries were able to stay in the war was from American bankrolling the entire war effort through loans, not just their own merit. We both know Germany and AH were dropping out no matter what.
@piesse21cm_@GiovanniMommo@Timstillherelol To act so short sighted as to say one minor victory at the tail end of the war is tantamount to winning the war is simply inaccurate. Italian forces also failed to make progress in Trent until the final moments of the war. To act like Germany and AH weren't clamoring for an -
