@nakedjockman Probably a bit difficult, movie theaters in my city for example have already reduced showings to once a day and many dont even show it anymore :(
@sonafisterL9@boke_bon She can speak for herself, but I guess you dictate what she is comfortable with and what her boundaries are.
Its mental, an adult would understand the stupidity of it, you are inflating this at the expense of someone. Its messed up *when* tenshi herself has talked about it.
@sonafisterL9@boke_bon You saw a couple clips strung together and you think you understand her and the way she interacts with her friends to a degree that whatever she says, she must be lying, of course you know better, she is a poor hostage in this situation. 1/2
@sonafisterL9@boke_bon I hope you are being good faith here, but yeah. If someone says they are ok with their friends behaving a certain way, the fact it makes you uncomfortable is irrelevant... I dont see why there is this need to suddenly distrust the people involved
@StalccLOL@LDJournal@nickich They are adults, the way people analyze their interactions are kind of infantilizing, placing beyond reasonable expectations and attaching a level of responsibility that its not warranted.
Its ok to think some actions were not good but the escalation is not normal
@StalccLOL@LDJournal@nickich Honestly between this comment and "Like sure hes been a bit of a flawd rolemodel" you lowkey made me realize *part* of why internet drama is getting so toxic (in this and many other cases)
Content creators should not by default get seen or treated as role models 1/2
@Dravarden@artolympus And for the record, I dont think theres a negative against steam here, but they are also not uniquely good. I dont subscribe at the licensing stuff being as big of an issue as most claim.
@Dravarden@artolympus But steam does not give you an offline downloader like gog does (for most games), look, my point was only that as far as "owning your own games" go, GOG goes one step more, and its not only the drm.
@artolympus If someone is against the practice, being against it when Steam does it is a completely fine example.
(GOG also licenses, they just do this in a better way, which is why I brought them up)
@artolympus Look, I love steam to death (1000+ games in there), but I dont think its good to say something along the lines of "its fine for THEM to do this because they are trustworthy". Especially because we have a better example of it being done in GOG
@PustynnyBandyta@PolymarketLoL Theres one about everything, and not only polymarket, all the betting sites infest communities like cockroaches with their "news" accounts
@phoreeight@spookydoodyt That being said, I dont have a rejection of AI in a fundamental level on every instance, not even generative AI. To give an example, while I see some issues in the long run with the idea of using AI general assistants, I do think they would be useful and the concept is not "evil"
@phoreeight@spookydoodyt Ah lol, then I cant answer that obviously, no clue on his reasons.
Just in case you find it interesting, for me I think it produces less valuable art (though its a bit of a long reasoning for twitter tbh), and I still think the way it started was morally bankrupt. 1/2
@phoreeight@spookydoodyt Because critiques of technique are futile, the companies are constantly trying to correct them. If you say your issue with AI art was that it made things with 6 fingers, your critique is dated.
If you want to oppose AI, do it from fundamental issues, not how bad it currently is
