🇯🇵Japan - The Fukushima Prefectural Police's email server was exploited to relay approximately 50,000 emails with the subject "Notice" or similar to domestic and international recipients.

The attack occurred between 6:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on November 26, 2024. The targeted server was an external-facing server used for public relations and corporate communications, while the internal server for police communication remained unaffected.

🇯🇵Japan - A 15-year-old junior high school student from Saitama Prefecture, Japan, was referred to prosecutors on November 26, 2024, for allegedly creating and distributing malware to test his skills.

He admitted to self-teaching malware development and infecting a teenager's computer in Fukui Prefecture on April 1, 2024, accessing stored web service credentials. He was also found with additional malware on his device as of October 11, 2024.

The case began after the victim, whose personal information was leaked on social media, reported it to the police in April.

They get around 13,000 unauthorized SSH login attempts a day and will be giving it to us for our honeypot. So starting tomorrow our reports should increase massively.
