Another great paper from the #ASFVInt project!
Our study of #ASFV-host interactions identifies new cellular factors involved in virus endosomal trafficking, fusion and exit.

Such a great #ASFVInt project meeting that just ended! This was a great occasion for all partners to share the latest updates & progress. A lot of fruitful discussions around #ASF interactions. @Loeffler_News thank you for hosting us!
First day of our @asfvint project meeting at the Friedrich Loeffler Institut. Some very nice data on #ASF interactions from colleagues at FLI and INRAE. The murals in the old building at FLI are always fascinating.
#AfricanSwineFever causes host shutoff, a state in which host protein synthesis is globally inhibited.
This interesting study from @Loeffler_News uses SILAC labeling to show how #ASFV induces host shutoff in macrophages.

We identified a new interaction between the CP204L (P30) protein of #ASFV and the VPS39 subunit of the HOPS complex. See our new paper on ASFV #Interactome to find out more #ASFVInt https://t.co/UOsxxiaq4f
What makes the #AfricanSwineFever virus so virulent? This new study investigates the differences between the highly and moderately pathogenic strains of #ASFV.

The multiple functions of virus proteins add another dimension to #ASFV complexity! Our latest study uncovers a new role of CP204L protein in endosomal trafficking.

African swine fever is on the move in the EU! In May first case of #ASF was reported at the western border of Germany, near France. Now, a new outbreak only 20km from the border with the Netherlands.
The @Loeffler_News in Germany 🇩🇪 confirmed it: #ASF emerged in a farm with 280 #sows & 1,500 #piglets in the south of Emsland district, at about 20km from the border with the Netherlands 🇳🇱. All #pigs on-farm will be culled.

🎈 Happy Birthday Friedrich Loeffler! 🎈
Gemeinsam mit Paul Frosch identifizierte Loeffler den #Erreger, der kleiner als #Bakterium war. So schlossen sie auf die Existenz neuartiger Erreger:

Finally back to face-to-face meetings! #ASFVInt project team met this week in Madrid☀️
Lots of promising results towards #ASFV-host #interactome mapping. Thanks @covaciencia@DorivalIsabel and others for the organization of the meeting!
We are at @epizone 2022! This year also @asfvint is well represented at the meeting in Barcelona.
