@peterboghossian For the politicians, this may be true. But among the people I meet in the street on a day to day basis, it does strike me that there’s a marked difference between then and now.

@AnneTownsend007 @JonHaidt @theallinpod I think the answer to this is affirmative, however, one key point is that humans need different types of social stimuli in order to follow the normal developmental trajectory. This is not the case for adults who have already developed the various cognitive and social skills.

@michaelshermer Hard to tell if it’s dishonesty or just a strong bias coloring his interpretation of the world. Some would say it doesn’t matter, but I do think intentions matter.
