Shri Rohit Kansal, Secretary, Department of Rural Development, chaired a high-level review meeting on the implementation of Viksit Bharat - G RAM G at Kartavya Bhawan, New Delhi.

Ms. Rohini Bhajibhakare, Joint Secretary (Rural Employment), along with senior officials of the Ministry, attended the meeting, while officials from States and Union Territories participated virtually through video conferencing to review the successful rollout and further implementation progress.

Secretary, RD commended all States and Union Territories for the historic and seamless nationwide rollout of Viksit Bharat - G RAM G on 1 July 2026 implemented simultaneously across the country on a single day. Appreciating the collective efforts of the Ministry, States and Union Territories, he noted that the smooth implementation is reflected in the generation of over 1.5 crore + persondays so far

He also emphasized the need to ensure timely payment of wages to workers and maintain the momentum of effective execution. He reiterated the Ministry's unwavering commitment that not a single eligible worker seeking employment should be left behind, ensuring that every rural household demanding work receives timely wage employment under Viksit Bharat - G RAM G.

Ahead of the commencement of the VB–G RAM G Act on 1 July 2026, the Department of Rural Development convened a landmark consultation with representatives from 18 Ministries & Departments to operationalise convergence across Water Security, Core Rural Infrastructure, Rural Livelihoods and Special Works for Mitigation of Extreme Weather Events through a coordinated whole-of-government approach.

कांग्रेस का शोर सिर्फ राजनीतिक है। कांग्रेस के पास न नीयत थी, न नीति। यह वही कांग्रेस है जिसने चुनावी फ़ायदे के लिए महात्मा गांधी जी का नाम जोड़ा। यह वही कांग्रेस है, जिसने समय-समय पर मनरेगा का बजट कम किया। यह वही कांग्रेस है, जिसने मजदूरी फ्रीज की। आज कांग्रेसी घड़ियाली आंसू बहा रहे हैं।

आज जब तकनीक, पारदर्शिता और समय पर भुगतान के ज़रिये यह सुनिश्चित किया जा रहा है कि पैसा सीधे मेहनतकश के खाते में पहुँचे, तो कांग्रेस को इसमें हमला नज़र आता है। इस योजना में तय किया गया है कि फैसले अब दिल्ली से नहीं, बल्कि गाँव से निकलेंगे। ग्राम पंचायतें बैठ कर अपने प्लान स्वयं बनायेंगी।

इस योजना में रोजगार को कम नहीं, बल्कि और मजबूत किया गया है। रोजगार दिवसों की संख्या को 100 दिनों से बढ़ाकर 125 दिन किया है।
तय समय में काम न मिलने पर बेरोज़गारी भत्ते का प्रावधान है और यदि मज़दूरी भुगतान में देरी होती है, तो विलंब भुगतान पर अतिरिक्त मुआवज़े का प्रावधान है।
साफ है रोजगार सुरक्षा घट नहीं रही, बल्कि बढ़ रही है।

ग्राम सभा और पंचायत के अधिकार कमजोर नहीं, बल्कि और सशक्त हो रहे हैं। कार्यों की पहचान और उनकी प्राथमिकता ग्राम सभा तय करेगी। क्रियान्वयन, निगरानी और गुणवत्ता की ज़िम्मेदारी स्थानीय स्तर पर सुनिश्चित की गई है। साथ ही सोशल ऑडिट को अनिवार्य बनाकर खर्च और भुगतान की सार्वजनिक समीक्षा का प्रावधान किया गया है। महिलाओं, स्वयं सहायता समूहों और समुदाय की सक्रिय भागीदारी पर विशेष बल दिया गया है।

हर पंचायत एक जैसी नहीं है। जो पंचायतें सबसे अधिक पिछड़ी हैं, जहाँ आज भी रोज़गार की सख्त आवश्यकता है और बुनियादी ढाँचे की कमी है, वहाँ अधिक निधि, अधिक सहायता और अधिक अवसर पहुँचें, इसकी भी व्यवस्था की गई है।

इस योजना में मज़दूरों के अधिकार किसी खैरात की तरह नहीं, बल्कि सम्मानजनक सुरक्षा के रूप में सुनिश्चित किए गए हैं। अपने ही गाँव में समय पर काम, सम्मानजनक मज़दूरी और सुरक्षित कार्य-स्थितियाँ इसका आधार हैं। पारदर्शी और समयबद्ध भुगतान, परिसंपत्तियों के निर्माण और आजीविका से जुड़े कार्यों के माध्यम से स्थायी आय वृद्धि पर विशेष ध्यान दिया गया है। यहाँ अधिकार दया पर नहीं, गारंटी और सम्मान के साथ दिए जा रहे हैं।
