@A82g315@MasterMaliq What is the difference between adultery and fornication? Aren’t both forms of unlawful intercourse? The Qur’an warns against approaching Zina and prescribes its punishment. Why distinguish between the two when the Qur’an uses the broader term Zina for unlawful sexual intercourse?
@dearest_hanny Ameen, and you too.
Don’t bother arguing. Saudi Arabia is a country, while Islam is a religion. Its laws and actions should not be used to misrepresent Islam. No one should judge the entire religion by a country's decisions.
May Allah have mercy on us all.
@A82g315@MasterMaliq Where did I say Hadith cannot explain the Qur’an? You even used prayer as an example. Its either you’re clearly missing my point or you are stylishly running from the point. The Qur’an clearly prescribes a punishment without ambiguity, why look beyond it for another explanation?
@A82g315@MasterMaliq This is not what he is saying. Let's try to remove biasness in arguments.
His question is crystal clear. He asked " when did hadith become more authoritative than the quran?"
@lordzuz2@dearest_hanny I understand you, Akhi. I heard Saudi Arabia withheld the official video for reasons best known to them. Regardless of how anyone misrepresents Islam, Allah continues to preserve and elevate His religion of peace and mercy.
@lordzuz2@dearest_hanny I consider the death sentence excessively severe, even if it is permitted under their laws, which, like other human laws, can be amended over time.
May Allah have mercy on us all, akhi.
@lordzuz2@dearest_hanny While countries have their own laws, is the death penalty a proportionate response to having sex in a place of worship? Don't get me wrong ooo, but Wouldn’t life imprisonment or a lengthy prison sentence serve as a deterrent?
@lordzuz2@dearest_hanny Anyone trying to distinguish fornication from adultery must do so within the Qur’anic context. I stand by the general term Zina and its prescribed punishment, believing we should not seek punishments beyond what Allah has ordained.
Allahu a'alam, akhi
@lordzuz2@dearest_hanny I understand English gave a difference between the two terms, but it is clearly combined in a group word called "zina" in the Qur’an meaning unlawful intercouse. Whether you are married or not, it is unlawful and it has a clear punishment in the Qur’an.
@lordzuz2@dearest_hanny With all due respect, could you please point me to a Qur’anic verse where Allah distinguishes between fornication and adultery? Alternatively, could you identify the specific Arabic terms used for these two acts in the Qur’an?
Thank you.
@dearest_hanny Not just the prophet(PBUH), the quran explicitly said so.
Why would an Islamic state go beyond the punishment prescribed in the Qur’an and impose a death sentence that the Qur’an itself does not prescribe?
@__MUHSEEN__ I understand your point, and your effort to encourage Qur’an memorisation is commendable. However, kindly consider the capacity of those you lead, as Suratul Qiyamah may be lengthy and challenging for some, though not for others. May Allah assist us all.
