‘O Lord, My parts are eating one another.’ So Allah allowed it to take two breaths, one in winter and one in summer. The breath in the summer is when you feel the severest heat and the breath in the winter is when you feel the severest cold

Dua to read on a cold day

لاَ إلٰهَ إلَّا اللّٰهُ مَا أشَدَّ بَرْدَ هٰذَا الْيَومِ ألَلّٰهُمَّ أَجِرْنِيْ مِنْ زَمْهَريْرِ جَهَنَّمْ

There is no God besides Allah Ta‘ala. How severe is the cold of this day! Oh Allah save me from the cold of Jahannam

﴿رَبَّنا وَلا تُحَمِّلنا ما لا طاقَةَ لَنا بِهِ﴾

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قِيلَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ

أَىُّ النِّسَاءِ خَيْرٌ قَالَ " الَّتِي تَسُرُّهُ إِذَا نَظَرَ وَتُطِيعُهُ إِذَا أَمَرَ وَلاَ تُخَالِفُهُ فِي نَفْسِهَا وَمَالِهَا بِمَا يَكْرَهُ "

The prophet ﷺ said: “I was shown Hell and the majority of its people are woman”. He ﷺ said “They are ungrateful to their husbands. If you are kind to one of them for a lifetime then she sees one undesirable thing in you, she will say, ‘I have never had anything good from you.’
