A compelling argument made by @Helen_Barnard@sam_royston & @prospect_uk for allowing dying people early access to their State Pension https://t.co/rVzYdKabBa

This is hugely concerning. There are no two ways about this - a real-terms cut to benefits would be a direct cut to support for dying people.
90,000 people already die in poverty each year - this would only make this worse.

@BBCRadio2 Steve and team - from a rainy drive back from Cornwall, thanks for the jockin, the factoids, the old woman, Steve's excellent singing and the certificates of muppetry. Drives and office days were better with you as the soundtrack. From Ash and https://t.co/A43m2Hsrmo
Our PR team @mariecurieuk is recruiting for a Stories/Case Study role to support people to share their personal stories. It's a rewarding role in (I'm obviously bias) a brilliant team! DM for more info or a chat about the role/team/charity https://t.co/NP7gyH9UCB

Right now, thousands of dying people are struggling to make ends meet with next to no help.
Join us in calling for change so they can:

Nearly a million home visits for dying people by hospices last year. Largely funded by your second hand jeans, and your mate running a marathon.
This isn't a glamorous part of the health sector. It doesn't get the attention of A&E or cancer. But it's absolutely critical.
We are calling on the government to:
🪙 Give dying people their state pension
📈Protect dying people from soaring energy bills
🍼 Support dying parents and their children

We're launching our #DyinginPoverty campaign to support the thousands of people who are pushed into poverty when they’re diagnosed with a terminal illness. Nobody should die in poverty, and we’re calling for change 👇 (1/7)
Proud to have led this important and sobering work.
1 in 4 working age people who die are in poverty at the end of their lives. The fact is that the benefits system is failing to safeguard them against poverty - meaning they spend their last months struggling to make ends meet.
Sign our petition to stop people dying in poverty. 90,000 people a year die below the poverty line. This isn't how the end of life should be for people in our communities

Very pleased to see this bill announced at #QueensSpeech today, a final success for @mariecurieuk’s #Scrap6Months campaign alongside @mndcampaigns and all of the many campaigners, terminally ill people and families who fought with us for change.
Very pleased to see this receive Royal Assent today.
Thanks to our #MakeEndOfLifeCareFair campaign alongside the UK’s other leading palliative care charities, for the first time in the history of the NHS local health systems are legally required to provide palliative care. 👍
We're hoping to hear from people who have been struggling financially while also being terminally ill or caring for someone who is. Link in the post below or my DMs are open. Please share. #CostOfLivingCrisis
Nobody should have to struggle financially while terminally ill. Sadly, many people do.
