But one doctor from Mangaluru decided distance shouldn’t decide survival. Through a simple WhatsApp network, he connected rural clinics with cardiologists, helping detect heart attacks in minutes.

From tiny hamlets to army posts, this ‘Cardiology at Doorstep’ initiative is quietly saving lives across India.

What 19 year old Vedamurti Devavrat Mahesh Rekhe has done will be remembered by the coming generations!

Every person passionate about Indian culture is proud of him for completing the Dandakrama Parayanam, consisting of 2000 mantras of the Shukla Yajurveda’s Madhyandini branch, in 50 days without any interruption. This includes several Vedic verses and sacred words recited flawlessly. He embodies the finest of our Guru Parampara.

As the MP from Kashi, I am elated that this extraordinary feat took place in this sacred city. My Pranams to his family, the several saints, seers, scholars and organisations from all over India that have supported him.

Today’s visit to the Sri Krishna Matha in Udupi was very special. The reciting of the Gita was an unforgettable experience. We can never seem to remove the disastrous credit Indian doctors give themselves for the toxic work culture they nurture, but keep trying to escape. There is no shame in taking a few days off work when you are ill. Patients deserve a healthy doctor - healthy in mind and body and not someone who drags themselves to work, thinking this is what makes them noble. This is ultimately bad for the patient. Doctors must just stop with this sh*t show. Because the Indian community in general, will always see doctors as looters.

Seven young friends out celebrating a birthday, drinking, and reveling, made a late-night decision to go for a drive.

Past midnight, a BMW overtakes them. Bruised egos, adrenaline surging—they decide to chase it down. Foot to the floor, speeds racing to 150, maybe 170. An intersection approaches, but there’s no intention of slowing down.

Then, suddenly, a truck looms from the right, crossing the intersection. Most of the truck is already through, but not enough. They plow right under its last section, and in a sickening instant, the car’s roof is torn off. So are three heads—flung 40 meters, reduced to only faces, hair, fragments of skull. Not a clean decapitation; something far worse. The other three are crushed in the twisted wreckage.

Imagine the sheer impact—a five-star safety-rated car transformed into scrap metal.

Accidents happen every day, but the Dehradun incident is different. It’s one of the most gruesome, gut-wrenching, blood-curdling accidents many of us have ever heard about.

No one deserves a death like that. No parent deserves that shock. Let this tragedy serve as a lesson for all of us.
