Following on from Inspirational October, in November we are thinking about being unique. In PDP this afternoon Y2 were looking very carefully at their faces and thinking about all the things that make them special.
Year 2 have been using their different senses to describe various items. This has helped them to create a collection of adjectives that they can use to enhance their writing.
Year 2 had a wonderful day thinking about our Word of the Month: inspiration. We discussed what inspiration means to us and shared who we are inspired by.
A super Harvest Festival by our School Council. Thank you so much for your kind donations. Have a lovely Half Term Holiday and we will see you on 31st October, Inspiration Day!
After learning all about the Great Fire of London, we replicated the events that began in the early hours of Sunday 2nd September 1666, using our very own Tudor houses. At the start of the fire, we can find Thomas Farriner's bakery on Pudding Lane.
Some photographs of Year 2's London going up in flames. Thank you @ArthurWood4 for helping us to create Pudding Lane, starting our fire and teaching us how to extinguish it safely.
A brilliant day visiting different Places of Worship. Year 2 had lots of fun learning new information and building their current knowledge of Islam, Hinduism and Christianity.
Great work in PE this morning as Year 2 played some BenchBall. This game teaches the children some of the fundamental skills they will need as they progress into Netball games @Ashbridge_Sport
We even got to demonstrate what would happen if a fire did break out at home. Remembering that we should never re-enter a house if it is on fire to rescue any pets! @LancashireFRS
Year 2 had a wonderful visit from @LancashireFRS who explained the importance of smoke alarms and creating a fire plan in the event of a fire occuring in our homes. Thank you for answering all our questions!
We have loved being able to take part in the @ReadMagicFest this week. Year 2 have listened to stories from all over world, created poetry and learned how to illustrate characters. A very exciting week! #readingismagic@bathkidslitfest
Year 2 have had conker fun in the forest this morning. We learnt which tree conkers grow on and each picked one use for conker rolling. Thank you @ArthurWood4
In the Garden, we have been planting some seeds in the hopes of growing some raddishes. We are keeping our fingers crossed that they will grow so that we can take them home to eat.
