@Tochinoshin33 There’s no doubt all Olympic teams have dozens of medical trainers, but is there one psychologist on staff? I think that answers this question. We still don’t understand mental health and why it should be just as if not more important than physical health.

@Georgette_1919 @Tochinoshin33 I totally thought the same. When I’ve had a panic attack I can barely breath, stand or think, much less do 10 flip twists. Although I wouldn’t wish anxiety on anyone, but if everyone who is giving her a hard time experienced it even for a moment, they would understand.

@Lynne__Andrea @Tochinoshin33 I’m 10000% sure it wasn’t ‘I don’t feel like it.’ If her head wasn’t solid, maybe she was having a panic attack for example, she could majorly injure herself and then really damage the team’s chances of winning anything. I applaud her. I’m sure it was one of the hardest decisions
