"Show me 4 cars damaged by E20," challenged Nitin Gadkari.
"Suzuki has serviced 1.5 crore vehicles with zero damage," claimed Hardeep Singh Puri.
Well, a Consumer Court just gave you your first official reality check. ⚖️
The Raipur District Consumer Commission has ordered Maruti Suzuki to completely replace a customer’s ₹20.5 Lakh Grand Vitara (or refund the full amount with compensation) because E20 blended petrol repeatedly stalled the engine and caused severe breakdowns.
For months, the Modi government has gaslighted ordinary car owners, aggressively forcing ethanol-blended fuel at every pump while giving citizens zero choice.
When taxpayers complained about engine damage and dropping mileage, they were met with arrogant denial from the top ministers.
The court has explicitly called out this "unfair trade practice."
Ministers can run PR campaigns, but they cannot run away from a judicial order. Who is going to pay for the lakhs of vehicles quietly rotting away because of forced ethanol blending?
Will Gadkari and Puri take accountability now, or will they keep shielding corporate interests over common taxpayers?
The common Indian taxpayer is being looted from both ends.
We are paying premium prices for mandatory E20 petrol that drops our mileage, ruins fuel lines, and separates into engine-stalling water sludge during the monsoons.
Meanwhile, independent fuel pump dealers are absorbing losses of up to 20,000 litres due to contaminated stock.
The Modi government pushed this aggressive timeline blindly to appease the ethanol sugar lobby, entirely ignoring that India's fuel storage tanks weren't upgraded for it.
Now, corporate gag orders are being issued to hide the engine damage.
Absolute institutional fraud.
@SSTurnbull@Jacksonsrule Schools technically could actually differ on overall grades. Schools in richer areas have more English speaking courses that increase grades for internationals and increase avg. In the suburbs, an overwhelming foreign population and lack of English courses can drop grades a lot.
There is no regular pure petrol in India AFAIK. XP100 is high octane, and unnecessary for most vehicles. So your choice is either E20 or a ridiculously expensive XP100. This is like suggesting eating in Taj because your local pani puri wala started pissing in the water.
Notice how the entire conversation changed from "E20 will save you lots of money" from "pure petrol will cost you more."
We have been pickpocketed, my friends.
