@BerniceKing My dad always said ask WHAT. When someone wants you to hate someone because of their political views. What do they get? When they tell you to hate a race. What do they get? When they say blame this one & that one for your problems? Well Then they got YOU. They have you mindless &
The Afroman Trial.
-Cops raid Afromans house for bullshit reasons.
-Steal money, break his door, fuck his house up.
-No criminality found whatsoever, no charges at all pressed on Afroman.
-Afroman spends the next 3 years making songs that make fun of all the officers involved by name, even using footage of the raid from his own CCTV cameras.
-Songs had titles like "Randy Walters is a son of a bitch" and "Lick Em Low Lisa" accusing one of the officers of being a lesbian and sleeping with the other officers wives.
-During the raid one officer looked like he was about to eat some lemon pound cake sitting on Afromans counter, Afroman made a whole album calling the officer fat.
-The cops get mad and file a lawsuit for defamation.
-Afroman turns up to court in a whole American flag suit.
-Officers performatively mald and cry while listening to the songs really trying to oversell how badly the songs upset them.
-One officer was suing because Afroman made a whole song about him saying he was fucking the officers wife. When the officer was asked if Afroman was really fucking his wife, he said "I don't know". Nuking his own case and establishing that there is a non-zero chance that Afroman might actually be fucking his wife.
-As his only witness for the trial, Afroman brought a deputies EX FUCKING WIFE.
-The jury ruled completely in favour of Afroman.
This entire thing has been a great win for free speech and absolutely fucking hilarious.

Y’all my son had been with his girlfriend for two years, but he admitted he was never physically attracted to her. He said he loved how good of a woman she was, but he just wasn’t into her looks like that. So instead of leaving her alone, he had the nerve to ask her to get a BBL because he said he felt like he was going to end up cheating. She told him no, that she was happy with her natural body, but she offered to go to the gym with him so she could get more toned. My son told her the gym would never give her the type of body he wanted his woman to have. The crazy part is he’s still physically attracted to his ex, but that girl treated him terribly, so he was basically trying to turn his current girlfriend into his ex. When the girlfriend came and told me everything, I told her I had a single coworker who is a really good man and offered to introduce them. Fast forward, she starts talking to my coworker for about a month and then she leaves my son. They started working out together for two months and when I tell y’all that girl got so fine it didn’t make no sense. When my son saw her again he started begging for her back, but she told him no and said thankfully because of your mama I found my person. Now my son is mad at me saying I betrayed him, but he didn’t even want her like that. I just introduced her to a man who actually appreciates her. Well today, six months later, that man proposed to her and I will definitely be at that wedding. My son’s trash really did become another man’s wife.
There’s a man in my office who hasn’t been promoted in 6 years.
He arrives before everyone. Leaves after everyone. Knows the company’s systems better than the people who built them. When something breaks at 2am, they call him.
His name is on the bottom of reports that directors present to the board. He doesn’t complain. He says he’s just “not political.”
Last week, a 26-year-old joined us. MBA. Firm handshake. Calls the MD by his first name. Within 3 months, he’s already sitting in meetings my colleague has never been invited to.
I watched my colleague train him.
Smiled the whole time. Answered every question. Shared shortcuts it took him years to figure out.
Afterwards I asked him, don’t you feel cheated?
He looked at me for a long moment.
“I used to. But I realized something. I’ve been loyal to a company. Not a purpose. Those are not the same thing.”
He resigned two weeks later. Took everything he knew with him. Started something of his own.
The MD sent a company-wide email. Called it “a great loss to the team.”
Eleven years of emails. And that was the first one that mentioned his name.
The system will celebrate your exit more than it ever celebrated your presence. Stop waiting to be seen. Build something that sees you if you’re not appreciated where you are.
@Simon_Ingari The Invisible Pillar Effect.
The most productive people are the quietest.
Because they are too busy keeping the ship afloat to announce they are rowing for three.
I was forced to train an intern.
Spent 6 months teaching him everything I knew - every system, every client quirk, every shortcut I'd learned over five years.
They made him my boss yesterday. Double my salary. Everyone in the conference room stared, waiting for a reaction. I just smiled and congratulated him.
The next day, everyone froze when they opened my company-wide email.
It said, "Effective immediately, I will no longer be providing training, guidance, or assistance to management. My role description does not include mentoring supervisors."
HR called me into a meeting within an hour. My new boss looked panicked - he had no idea how to do half his job without me. Management tried to guilt me, saying I was being unprofessional and hurting the team.
But here's the thing. I'd been doing two jobs for years. Fixing everyone's mistakes. Staying late while others went home. And for what? To watch someone I trained get the promotion I deserved?
Now my boss keeps showing up at my desk with questions, and I redirect him to HR every single time.
The tension is unbearable. My coworkers are divided - some think I'm brave, others say I'm being petty.

This is called performance punishment.
You’re getting punished for being good at your job.
And here is the part that makes it worse.
When that promotion time comes around, they don’t promote you because you are too valuable exactly where you are.
“We can’t afford to move you. You’re doing the work of three people.”
So they promote the mediocre employee who has time to network and play politics because they are not buried under the workload that you created by being competent at your job.
So stop being the best performer — start being strategic.
Do your job well, but not exceptionally, because exceptional work gets you more work, not more money.
And if they want exceptional performance, they can pay exceptional rates.
Otherwise, you’re just working yourself into exhaustion while someone else gets your promotion.
A Prerecorded Slur Isn’t an Accident
BAFTA had time.
Time to review.
Time to edit.
Time to decide what the world would and would not see.
And that’s why this moment landed the way it did for so many Black folks.
Yes, Tourette syndrome is real. It deserves understanding. But acknowledging that does not erase the historical weight of the N-word that ultimately went out to millions in a prerecorded broadcast.
🧵
BAFTA and the BBC failed Michael B. Jordan, Delroy Lindo, the Tourette's community and viewers when they allowed the N-word to be aired during the BAFTA Film Awards ceremony.
With a tape delay, this moment could have been handled differently. The audio could have been muted in the broadcast. The segment could have been edited. Instead, the slur went out. And now it lives online — free to be clipped, circulated, divorced from explanation and used as shorthand outrage. Or worse, it can be used to spread hate. https://t.co/7RYqGI5zLO
This is exactly how systems of disrespect stay in place. People are so quick to find a medical or social excuse for a slur, but they’re incredibly slow to acknowledge the psychological toll it takes to be attacked while you’re just trying to do your job. Demanding that Black people remain 'okay' with dehumanization is just another way of saying their feelings don't count. The real lesson is that we need to stop auditing the reactions of the victims and start auditing the behavior of the institutions that let this happen. Silence isn't peace; it’s just suppressed pain.
It is a heavy, unfair burden to ask the people being disrespected to be the 'bigger person' while the person doing the disrespecting is coddled. When we prioritize the comfort of the offender over the dignity of the victims, we aren't being compassionate we’re being complicit. Michael B. Jordan and Delroy Lindo shouldn't have to 'push through' dehumanization for the sake of a smooth broadcast. The lesson here is that grace without accountability is just permission. We have to stop expecting one group to swallow their pain so everyone else can avoid an awkward conversation
@CNN Black Americans especially understand racism is the only thing many insecure White people have to cover up their personal insecurities. If you ask us for grace it better come with a real apology in the future.
I've been a gun owner my entire adult life.
The leaders of a political party that claims to care about the Second Amendment say that because Alex Pretti was carrying a firearm at a protest, he deserved to be executed.
Rest in peace to Gladys West, a true American icon and the Black American woman whose brilliance helped make modern GPS possible. Her work is proof that Black Americans have always been hand in hand with building this country—not just with our hands, but with our brains too. For decades, the world benefited from her genius while her name remained in the shadows. Ms. West stands proudly in the lineage of American greats like Benjamin Banneker, Granville T. Woods, and George Washington Carver—a pantheon of minds whose innovation quite literally made America function and move forward. We honor her legacy, her intellect, and the truth she represents. 🕊️
Congratulating Jake Paul for trying to fight an Olympian boxer is crazy. If we’re being honest he could have died tonight. Stop promoting delusional people’s behavior for entertainment.
Congratulations to all the Democratic candidates who won tonight. It’s a reminder that when we come together around strong, forward-looking leaders who care about the issues that matter, we can win. We’ve still got plenty of work to do, but the future looks a little bit brighter.
