@MissKatefabe@DC_Draino I didn't agree with that either. I felt they should be moved to a museum, but torn down and destroyed? No. Just like I didn't agree with some of the bad faith actors during the BLM protests (most were peaceful). Free speech comes with social implications, good and bad.
@RhianaBrooke1@joncoopertweets No one sane wants it repealed. They want healthy regulations. I personally think background checks even at gunshows. Conceal carry imo should need a permit, but I see that is going away bit by bit. Common sense stuff. I don't like semi-auto rifles, ...
@RhianaBrooke1@joncoopertweets They won't repeal the 2nd amendment. Hell, I grew up with a healthy respect for guns. That doesn't mean that I keep a loaded gun in my nightstand. Quite the opposite. I don't trust myself around 'em.
@EdMcque We get that, too. I keep telling the developer it's 5 mil per lot (I have 2 adj 1/2 acre lots, not really interested in selling). It's a package deal. They both go, or no deal. They keep saying no. It's funny.
@rkm_lb@ksorbs According to Mr. Sorbo, my nieces and nephew should be miscreants because she was a single mother. So no, that's not what he's saying. ๐ My nephew is an Air Force veteran. My younger niece is a housewife of an Air Force Officer (don't remember his rank). The oldest (victim) 1.
@rkm_lb@ksorbs Then you've been lucky enough to have had a great marriage. Not everyone does. My sister's ex-husband sexually abused my niece, her daughter. Was she supposed to stay married to him? Hmm. My sister had a terrible track record with men. /sigh.
@KostBenjamin @WontBeSilent2 @CorbinDavis_85 @POTUS If it weren't for SSDI (which I paid into) I'd be in real hot water now. SS is also for us disabled, who don't always have that kind of back up plan.
@LasVegasBarry@ABC No. If you're going to renegotiate SSI & SSDI, it should be how to increase benefits to seniors and disabled. The COLA increase does not really help for inflation. I mean - when your increase is ~$100 a month, that barely covers inflation at all.
@FLulz13 @LemmingsRev@ewarren Yeah, we (my hubby) pays 4,000 (approx) in taxes a year. We get all save 900 back. Hmm. Let's say we keep that 4,000. (They will still take social security and retirement). Then you're paying 23% sales tax. Suddenly that extra money doesn't seem like so much.
